I have forgotten how to move the ink cartridges into a position where they can be changed.

Turn on the printer. Open the top of the printer to expose the ink cartridge compartment. Hit the "Stop" button. This will cause the printer head to move so that one of the two ink cartridges move above the "No Ink" icon. Hit the "Stop" button again. It will move the other ink cartridge above the "No Ink" icon if it needs to be replaced. The printer head will move to the original position to the right.

I cannot stop the ink cartridge holder to stop in the correct positioo to replace the cartridges on my epsom cx5500 printer

Hello jgw_cansdale,
Welcome to Fixya.com!
If the Ink light (fon3_66.gif) is flashing that means one or more of your ink cartridge is low on ink, and if it's steady it means one or more is out of ink. For Epson printers, there are lots of ways to identify whether your printer is out or low on ink. For today let's just stick with the printer itself.\
Remember: A flashing fon3_66.gif means LOW ON INK, and a steady fon3_66.gifmeans OUT OF INK.
1. Open the scanner bed by lifting it up just like opening a brief case. By doing this you should now be able to see the carrier area this is the area were the ink carrier or ink holder moves left and right,
2. Press the Ink button. Now remember flashing means LOW and steady means OUT of ink.
If the Ink light is flashing, and you pressed the Ink button the carrier or ink hold will move under a small arrow just right above the carrier to point to you which ink cartridge is low on ink. pressing it again will point to another if you have multiple cartridges that are running low, if not it moves directly to the ink cartridge replacement area were you can pop the carrier's lid open to access the inks.
If the Ink light is steady, and you pressed the Ink button the carrier or ink hold will move under a small arrow just right above the carrier to point to you which ink cartridge is out of ink. pressing it again will point to another if you have multiple cartridges that are out of ink, if not it moves directly to the ink cartridge replacement area were you can pop the carrier's lid open to access the inks.

How to replace catridges for Epson Stylus Office T40W??

Hi,

Good day. I hope this steps can help you in replacing your cartridges. This how i remember doing it. Just follow these steps.

>Make sure the power light is on, but not flashing.
>Open the printer cover and the output tray.
>Press the ink button. The ink cartridge holder moves to the ink cartridge check position and the
power light begins to flash.
>Press the ink button again. If more than one ink cartridge is expended or low, the ink cartridge holder moves to the mark. This
occurs each time you press the ink button until all expended or low ink cartridges have been
indicated. Once all of the expended or low ink cartridges have been indicated, the ink cartridge
holder
moves to the ink cartridge replacement position when you press the ink button. >Open the cartridge cover and place the ink cartridge into the cartridge holder with the bottom down.
Then push down the ink cartridge until it clicks into place. Then close the cartridge cover
>Press the ink button and then the printer moves the ink cartridge holder and begins charging the
ink delivery system

Hope this will help you a bit with your ink cartridge replacement problem. Have a great day.

How do i install my ink cartridges into my epson stylus nx125

Starts on page 23. http://files.support.epson.com/pdf/nx125_/nx125_qr.pdf
Replacing Ink Cartridges Make sure you have a new ink cartridge before you begin. You must install new cartridges immediately after removing the old ones. Caution: Do not open ink cartridge packages until you are ready to install the ink. Cartridges are vacuum packed to maintain reliability. Note: Leave the expended cartridge installed until you have obtained a replacement, or the ink remaining in the print head nozzles may dry out. 1. Turn on your printer. 2. If an ink cartridge is expended, the error and ink lights on the control panel stay on. 3. Open the document cover, then open the ink cover. Caution: Do not remove the ink cartridge guard or you may damage the printer.24 Maintaining Your Printer 4. Press the y Stop button. If a cartridge is low or expended, the print head moves that cartridge to the replacement position to indicate that it should be replaced. The P Power light starts flashing. If two or more ink cartridges are expended, the expended cartridge at the far left moves to the replacement position. The P Power light starts flashing. If no cartridges are low or expended, the print head does not move. Note: Do not hold the y Stop button for more than three seconds, or the printer may start cleaning the print head. 5. Squeeze the tab on the cartridge and lift it up. Dispose of it carefully. Do not take the used cartridge apart or try to refill it. Warning: If ink gets on your hands, wash them thoroughly with soap and water. If ink gets into your eyes, flush them immediately with water. Keep ink cartridges out of the reach of children.Replacing Ink Cartridges 25 6. Before you open the new cartridge package, shake it gently four or five times. Then remove the cartridge from the package. Caution: Do not touch the green chip on the front of the cartridge. This can damage the ink cartridge. 7. Remove the yellow tape from the bottom of the ink cartridge. Caution: Do not remove any other labels or seals, or ink may leak. 8. Insert the new ink cartridge into the holder and push it down until it clicks into place. 9. Press the y Stop button. If another cartridge is low or expended, it moves to the replacement position. Repeat steps 5 through 8 to replace any other cartridges that need to be replaced. When you press the y Stop button and no other cartridges need to be replaced, the print head moves to its home position and the printer starts priming the ink. This takes about 1 1/2 minutes.26 Maintaining Your Printer When the P Power light stops flashing and the error and ink lights go out, ink charging is finished. 10. Close the ink cover, then close the document cover. Caution: Never turn off the your Epson printer while ink is charging or you'll waste ink. If the error and ink lights remain on after the print head moves into its home position, an ink cartridge may not be installed properly. Press the y Stop button again, and then press the ink cartridge down securely. Note: If you replaced a cartridge while copying a document or photo, cancel printing and make sure your original is still placed correctly on the document table. Then copy your original again. If you remove a low or expended ink cartridge, you cannot reinstall and use the cartridge.

Alarm message says "cartridge jammed". Does that

What you see moving is the print carriage. The carriage moves the cartridge, adjacent to the printhead, back and forth.
Although the carriage is moving, the ink cartridge can not dispense ink because an obstruction is
blocking the path of the ink.
Remove the ink cartridges, inspect the cartridges as well as the cartridge holders for any foreign debris and reinstall.
If the alarm message continues, I suggest changing the ink cartridges.

My ink will not move to the side when I open the

Just make sure the printer is on when you lifted up the top cover for the ink cartridge holder to move to the right side.

You may also try this, try copying a blank paper, look inside the printer when you see the ink cartridges move in the side, disconnect immediately the power cord at the back of the printer. Now lift up the top cover and replace the ink cartridge.

How do you replace ink in EPSON TX110? BEWARE SPAM NUMBER +1-800-532-4187 BELOW

The procedure is shown on the panel you can see if you open the cartridge compartment of your TX110. However, it can take some effort to decipher the icons. It is known to work if the ink low light is on, untested otherwise.

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Press and hold the STOP button until the cartridge tray moves out of its bay. It will stop at the ink low notch pointing to the first cartridge out.
  3. Press STOP again. The cartridge tray will move to show you the next cartridge low on ink.
  4. Repeat until you know all cartridges out. After the last cartridge pointed to, the tray will move again and stop in the area where all cartridges can be accessed by hand.
That's it folks!

How do I manually center the ink cartridges on my A960 ?

The ink cartridge had jammed the carrier and prevented it from moving. I stuck my little finger in the bottom of the carrier, pushed the cartridge up a bit, freed the carrier and was able to move it manually. I replaced the cartridge and all the messages went away. The printer now works as it should. Must have been a bad cartridge.
