The third character from the right is blank no matter what is entered. What's wrong? Is it fixable?

There is a blank where the 3 character should print. I changed the ribbon, but nothing prints in that spot. Is this fixable or should I dump this machine?

My computer is saying that the passphrase or security key is wrong but i just set it up so i know its right.....what do i do?

Try double checking it with this method (which you can also use if you forget it later on!):
1 Open your internet browser, you don't need internet.
2. type in exactly: http://192.168.1.1. and hit Enter to proceed to the page
3. Once this page loads, click the "Security" section/tab
4. Here you should be able to view the password for your network (WEP)
Hope this helps!

Switched chords on dryer from four prong to three prong when plugged in the top left prong sparked did i fry my dryer or is this fixable?

This is probably fixable as you probably hooked the cord up wrong and it arced and likely blew the breaker before much was damaged. The 3 prong cord has obviously, 3 wires. As long as you get the middle wire in the the cord hooked to the middle terminal on the dryer, the other two wires can go to each of the outside terminals, no matter which one goes where. Correct the cord and you will probably be in good shape.
