You could try the manufacturer's web site to see if they have a free download. Most do.

Is the sharp above range microwave model r-1871t recirculating?

According to the Sharp product site, http://www.sharpusa.com/ForHome/HomeAppliances/Microwaves/Models/R1871.aspx , the R-1871 is a convection and microwave oven. The manual describes using the convection oven feature on page 18 (page 20 of the PDF). The direct link to the manual is: http://files.sharpusa.com/Downloads/ForHome/HomeAppliances/MicrowaveOvens/Manuals/mic_man_R1872.pdf . The convection button is on the top left in the middle group of buttons. You use the numeric power level buttons to set the oven temperature. When you program convection cooking, the 1 button will bring the oven to 100 degrees F. The 6 button gets the oven to 350 degrees F.

I hope this helps.

Glass turntable in tricity tmc209 says "microwave only" What do I use for convection or combi cooking? Does turntable still need to rotate for convection cooking?

definately dont use the standard glass plate for convectional 'oven' cooking, as it will shatter. i have had TWO plates shatter so far before realising they should only be used for microwave cooking.

Sharp R-1874F Low Convection Temp

We have the 2 service manuals you need to refer to for this model and have uploaded them to our site here and here to help you.

You will need the
free Acrobat Reader to view or print them in case you don't have it.

The manuals have a safety info, disassembly info, troubleshooting chart, test procedures, part numbers, etc.

I would first suspect a bad thermistor, but it should be checked, as well as the line voltage at the outlet, etc.

The best place to order parts for this brand is Encompass (formerly Tritronics). Or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Convection Preheat doesn't reach the Chosen Oven Temperature

I would first suspect the thermister (thermistor) or a low line voltage, weak control board relay etc.

But the service manuals will show you how to safely disassemble, test and repair the unit.

I hqave a Sharp convection/microwave I bought in 1980. I love it but the microwave has stopped working anyone have any ideas as what to do. Thanks, Vicki

it could be the magnatron or the high voltage fuse, they are the common problems of a microwave not heating. ALWAYS GET A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN OR SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO DISCHARGE A HIGHVOLTAGE CAPACITOR BEFORE ANYTHING INSIDE A MICROWAVE IS TOUCHED, ALWAYS UNPLUG FROM WALL ALSO!!!!
