How do you take off toe panel from he3 electric kenmore dryer to clean plugged lint

Hello;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

There are two spring clips, one on each side of the bottom toe plate panel.

Lint screen to be clean .so I cleaned the lint box

Not sure how far down you took apart your dryer to clean it out, but I've found that I sometimes forget to re-hook up the door switch connector when I'm working on dryers. So, my advice would be to first check all your connectors. Then, check to see if you might have accidentally pulled a wire off of a terminal somewhere along the way.

Kenmore by Sears,
DD
This is really a simple project
I believe your belt broke and Kenmore put a kill switch to protect your motor and heating element.
there are two screws when you remove your lint screen.
Remove those screws.(philips)
With a straight screwdriver, gently pry up the top of dryer.
When loose, open all the way to the back and rest on the wall,
On each inside, behind the door, at the top, is a 1/4" bolt. Use Socket to Remove both. Pull up and out on the front and put it to the side.
Remove the drum.
Now you can clean the inside with a vacumn. See the kill switch in front of motor.
The model is inside the door on the left
since you have it apart check the drum rollers for flat spots as well as freedom in movement DO NOT GREASE
Put it back together

Drum makes noise after I unscrewed the screws inside the machine.

You will have to remove the drum from the front and replace the drum support cup kit.

Gas dryer won't run when pushing start. Motor not comming on.

There is a small resetable fuse athe back under the top cover being held by a plate that has a screw holding it in place. To test just connect the wires together. I see this all the time on those modeles.

Cleaning out dryer

Okay. If the dryer is running well, there's no need to open the dryer to clean it. Clen aou the lint filer and wuth a special brush get any lint out of the area where the lint filter goes. Run a brush or vaccuum cleaner hose or your hand up the lint tubing and get all the accumulated lint out. Don't forget the vent leading outside.

If you MUST go into the dryer to clean it, check for a repair manual online or at an appliance store. ALWAYS unplug it from any power and if it's a gas dryer be carefull with the gas line. You may have a valve to temporarily shut off the gas flow. Turn it off in case you break the line when moving the dryer, if necessary.

Depending on the model dryer you have will determine how you get in. There are usually mounting screws on the bottom or bottom front (someone had to assemble it and if they can put it together you can take it apart) that hold the sheet metal "skin" on the frame. Once you 've removed the front and are inside, you'll see if the drum rides on rollers or just on a felt seal on the front. The tension of the belt may pull the drum down so be careful and watch out for sharp edges on that sheet metal.

This would also be a good time to check the belt for fraying. If it's an electric dryer there is a heat coil. Look for loose or heat-damaged wires.

Disconnect the vent tubing from the vent in back and using a brush designed for dryers, or a vaccuum cleaner, or your hand, pull any lint out of the dryer vent hose and the dryer itself. You might lube the rollers if it has any and check if the drum rides on supports or a felt seal that might be wearing down. And give the lint filter a good cleaning. Check it for holes, tears, and other damage.

Once all the lint is gone, and you find the spare change that dropped into the bottom, and maybe found that missing sock, you reverse the process. Put it all back together, making sure the drum spins freely by hand. Reattach the vent hose, and then plug it in, (turn on the gas if applicable), and before you shove it back into place give it a test run to make sure the motor turns the drum and the heat works.

Dryer maintenance once a year will keep it clean and running well.

On the other hand if it requires special tools, or if opening it up will void your warranty, call a qualified repair technician.
