If your having major issues, I would try to locate the main on/off valves at your water heater and pump/cold water line in the basement. One the water is shut off, I would try to check if there is a proper seal...as required concerning the stem. It's probably on of the old gaskets that was not remove and doubled up. Happened to me. Good luck!

Why won't water turn off?

YOU MUST SHUT OFF WATER FIRST!! Because you need to replace the valve stem washer. Most likely OO washer size, black hard rubber washer is worn out.
Remove the excursion (handle) one or hot and cold. Phillip screw or allen nut back of handle.

You will see a brass valve stem the handle was attached to. Use a crescent wrench and unscrew the stem and pull to remove.

Ar the bottom of the stem you will see the black washer. Remove the screw holding the washer in and replace with new. Reverse steps to install.

Hope this helps, I never know. Mike

All the faucets except my shower have hot water why doesn't my shower have hot water

your video doesn't show much of your shower for very long, but at a guess i'd say you have separate hot cold taps, in which case always turn on hot first then carefully turn on cold to ensure there's no issue with water pressure. if there no hot water running at all the hot water valve is faulty

No hot water in shower but have hot water in sink

Is your shower valve a single handle. If so I would reccomend you change cartridge. To do this shut off water to valve or house. Remove center cover on valve handle, most of these are just friction fit so gently pry off with knife point or small screwdriver. Remove handle by pulling straight out, then remove chrome cover that fits around outside of valve. Ther is a small copper retaing clip that holds valve in place. It should have a small hole in tab that is on top of valve. Grasp this with pliers and pull up to remove. Then remove cartridge by pulling on cartridge stem. If it's doesn't come out you can get a moen cartridge puller at hardware store. Remove old cartridge, install new one and reinstall retaing clip. Reinstall chrome cover and handle.Turn water back on and try shower valve to see that cold is on the right side. If it's not remove handle and turn center stem 180 degrees. This will change cold side to right. Put handle back on with cover and you sould be done. Hope this helps. Thanks

We installed two new single handle shower faucets with both hot and cold supply lines pressurized to each of the faucets. The problem is that no hot water will come out of either faucets. Their seems to be...

Sounds like the valve is defective. The supply to the stems was not bored out at the factory giving you a valve that is essentially pretty on the outside and solid on the inside. To test it, uninstall the valve. Remove the stems. Then try running a pipe cleaner though the valve from the supply side and see if it stops before the stem.

Have a kent r/o system dont know how to hook it up is there any way someone can help

Make sure that all valves are in the open position.
Try to recharge the water storage tank. Here are the steps to follow.
* In General: When any type shut-off valve handle is positioned so that it is parallel or in line with the tubing that enters the valve, valve is OPEN. When handle is turned perpendicular to tubing that enters valve, valve is CLOSED.

Necessary Supplies:
1) Tire Gauge marked in 5psi increments (ie 5, 10, 15, 20psi, etc.)
2) Bicycle tire pump for standard type bike tire valve
To recharge RO system tank:

1) Close cold water feed valve (valve located at some point along the cold water line from street plumbing).*
2) Leaving RO tank valve on, turn tank on side & locate valve stem on bottom side.
3) Remove stem cap.
4) Drain all water out of tank through open RO faucet into sink. (Continue to leave RO faucet open throughout procedure)
5) If current tank pressure is insufficient to empty tank, apply tire pump to valve stem and pump 10 – 15 times. Exit flow will increase and then gradually decrease as pressure equalizes. Do not overcharge internal bladder of tank during this
procedure.
6) Repeat step #4 until tank is completely empty. (Tank is empty when additional pumping produces no more water)
7) At this point, adjust EMPTY tank to exactly 7psi. (Gauge reading midway between 5 & 10psi is sufficient)
8) Turn off RO faucet.
9) Replace cap on valve stem and reposition tank in upright position.
10) Open cold water feed valve.*
11) System water is useable immediately, however, tank will take 3-4 hrs to completely refill.
