I have a Netgear Rangemax Next Wireless N-Router WNR834Bv2 and it just deciced to turn off today. I was using it this morning with no problems and then this afternoon it had no power going to the router. I tried unplugging the power cord and plugging it back in and nothing worked. What happened?
This happens from time to time with these routers. It happenned to me with a Linksys and I found that the power unit in the router failed. One thing you could do is try a couple of different wall sockets or see if another adapter might work. Is your Netgear new enough to get replaced by the store?
Routers do die - especially if they get overheated. If it's less than a year old, it's under warranty.
Try plugging router into different AC source. If still dead, then either the AC adapter or the router may
need replacing.
Their support has been helpful to me in the past, see if they can help troubleshoot.

As per the information received it indicates that your router is rebooting intermittently. This clearly indicates fault with the router. I would recommend you to replace the router.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. Please revert back for any more assistance on the same.
