What causes "toner not recognized" message?

Printers are programmed to reject non-genuine ink tanks and toner cartridges.
Some of them are also designed/programmed to stop working altogether if you fit an aftermarket product and you will have to get a new printer. Most likely you have one of those.

Never use non genuine products. You can try and pull the new genuine OEM toner cartridge out and refit it and see if the machine will reset and recognise it. If not I don't think you are going to get it printing again and you will be up for a new printer..

Follow some of the trouble shooting procedures in the user manual and if none of these work you are probably done with that printer.

As silly and bizarre as this may sound... just take the pole and raise it to shoulder height and throw onto the grass at an angle. It may take a few attempts but the pole WILL come apart. I know you think I'm crazy ...but it does work. It's almost like a Chinese finger trap.

How to get system to not pop up and retract automatically? Hi. I am pretty sure I have assemble everything right, but every time my son makes a shot, as soon as the ball hits the backboard or rim, the locking mechanism snaps out, and the entire system collapses back to the storing/closed position. It seems that the locking mechanism is not keeping a secure and tight lock on any of the pre drilled holes in the tube. PLEASE HELP, thanks! Brian
