Praktica DC50 Digital Camera

On the 5240 similar model you press the right hand navigation button on the back of the camera. It has a flash symbol engraved on it but not very clear on mine. The screen goes blank as if nothing happens but it is charging the flash and with fresh batteries will come back in 5sec or so. Then when you shoot it will flash, and there will be a flash symbol showing on the screen.....Press again to alter to fixed rather than auto flash, and again to turn off.

This website might be able to help. They say the manuals are free. I didn't see a DC21, but saw a DC50, which would be better than nothing, and a lot the same. They have a link to get you in touch with someone who might have a manual for you.

Try this...remove the card and battery...press all the buttons...leave it alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on.

I thought the batteries had worn out because when I press the 'on' button the 'busy' light comes on for a few seconds and then goes out and nothing happens. Have changed batteries and checked installed correctly.
Any ideas please?

This happened to me too!
Turn the dial to setup, push the menu button & select reset all. This will restore the defaults & let you use the flash again.

My camera is Praktica DC5.0 megapixel. The green light comes on when i want to take pictures, but the flash doesn't work

The computer should not need any software. Take it out.
Plug the camera in
The Scanner/Camera Wizard will come up and ask what yopu want to do.
Let Windoze do the work
