Filter may be blocked. Be careful taking it out, you will get flooded. Make sure you have something to collect the water as it rushes out. Also check the main drain isn't blocked. If you know how, unplug the rubber waste pipe at the back of machine (not from the bottom of machine but from where it connects to main drain) and see if the machine empties by running spin cycle. If water comes out of pipe then it's the main drain....if not it's either the pump or filter.
Could be filter is blocked. Or drain pipe is blocked. Fact it wouldn't spin, could point to blockage, as spin won't start if too much water in drum. Bad news is, it could be the water pump needs renewed. Make sure drain pipe is properly connected to the waste pipe, and clear of obstruction.
Hello,
It sounds very much like there is a blockage in the drain pump, when was the last time you checked the filter. It may be spinning ok but if the filter is blocked it may not be spinning fully or draining properly. There is also a good chance that the sump pipe and drain pipes are choked with sludge /limescale.Try the filter check first if no Joy then it will need investigating down by the pump.
Hope this is of some help.
Hi, if the drum is full of water or not fully empty, this will prevent the spin from working.
If you have a drain filter, see if it's blocked.
You may have a blocked drain pump, a block in the outlet pipe or the drain pump is failing.
All of the above should be simple to check and cheap to repair.
Hope this helps
Check that water can drain out of the machine
1/ Check that the filter is not blocked
2/ Check drain motor is working (ie. not blocked with coins or hairpins etc)
3/ Check that pipe from tub to filter is not blocked (I had a sock blocking mine)
4/ If there is water in the filter and the drain motor runs then check that waste water hose is not blocked.
DEFINATELY A BLOCKAGE OR RESTRICTION ON THE DRAINAGE SIDE.DISCONNECT THE PIPING COMMING FROM THE DRUM TO THE DRAIN MOTOR. MAKE SURE ALL IS CLEAR. REMOVE PUMP AND OPEN PUMP HOUSING TO INSPECT.(BLADE COULD BE LOOSE ETC). FINALLY RUN WATER INTO DRAIN PIPE AND EXPELL WATER BY BLOWING HARD.IF BLOCKED, RECTIY. REASSEMBLE AND TRY AGAIN.
