Hello Experts, I have a 2004 Murano. The AC works fine, but after an hour running on a long trip for instance, everything seems to work fine but very little air flows. Please help.

Check for clogged blower filter, water may be staying inside the evaporator unit, the condensation frezzes the condensator and littel air or no air flows thru it, check the a/c fans for the evaporator functionality.

I own a 2002 Mercury Sable and have been having AC problems. AC works perfectly in and around town. When I get on the highway after about 1-2 hours the AC stops working. I believe the blower works but...

Hello Kathy... the condensation information is correct if that indeed is what is causing the problem. A small amount of condensate or a even a little bubble of air in the system will create a problem....the evacuation process pulls a deep vacuum on the entire a/c system & basiclly sucks everything out of it, debris, water, air, freon and all in to a closed "enviro friendly" containment machine...your freon can then be reused. My suggestion would be to call around to other shops and get some repair costs estimates for an "evacuation and recharge" for your Sable...
A specialtiy shop that deals only in A/C service might even be your best bet...but i would get at least 3 quotes. The dealers, or stealers as i call them, are almost always on the high side and have a catch that will get you a return visit. I hope this helps, feel free to ask more questions if needed. Like Papa always said---the only dumb questions are those that never get asked...
Good luck with your Sable

Hello, Is it safe to buy a 2004 used Murano with 57k miles ? Or should I go for more latest models ? Reason why I like this car is because of the interior and exterior but not sure about the mechanical...

it should be ok but every car has issues,,,,remmeber it does have a variable transmission, which seems to be great but remeber this is the same style trans that saturn used and was the worst trans ever,,also i did a used car on a 2006 murano last week and it had 23000 miles on it and the rear differential was blown out of it,,but that had a extenede warranty and was free but this 2004 may not,,,,,its not realy age and mile but how well it was taken care of,,,i see cars with 12000 and the are destroyed and then i see car with 100,000 and they are great so its all relative, i would take it to a nissan dealer and have them do a used car inspection on it so the go over everything for like $100,may be worth it than buying a bad car
