On my printronix t5000 the green light does not stay on. What is wrong?

Log into the printers web page using the current IP address. Login: root password: (no password) click the config link then uncheck BootP, RARP, and DHCP.

If this is in a Hot environment or printing heavy this is normal, but if not the head may need replacing.

1. The Printhead/Controller
cable assembly is
disconnected.
2. The environment is too cold
for the printhead to sustain
operating temperature.
1. Make sure the printhead/
controller cable assembly is
connected to J401 at the
printhead and J6 on the
controller PCBA.
2. Move the printer to a
warmer location.

If none of this works you might have a bad printhead. The thermistor on the printhead has gone bad and needs to be replaced.

My label printer quit printing the barcodes on the labels.

I am just getting a series of lines.

I have tried unplugging the machine and still have the same result.

I have tried to calibrate but that is not working either.

There are two guides on that machine.

One guide will make sure that the media is locked down and secured. if it isn't it will cause drifting.

There is also another guide around the thermal head before printing that guides the labels before it prints. It either white or or it could be a green color.

are you using the takeup roller on the printer to hold the wax paper? If you are is it straight on the take up roller?

I don't see that it is possible. The SMT tools themselves won't let in an import. The programing or tagging would have to be done by you.

I have WiFi Zebra QL420. In my case a simple header label prints fine then the complex label (many fields, barcode, lines & boxes) gets stuck. Labels are in separate spol files. We have many other labels printing fine, just this one ALWAYS gets stuck.
If I send same data from PC to printer it works fine.
I can see with ethernet sniffer that header label data goes but complex label doesn't even leave the iSeries. My sniffer is too crude to tell me what LPR level protocol is saying.
