When you upgrade to Windows 10, it copies over all of your previous settings. So if you were using a PIN at the time of the upgrade, it should ask for a PIN afterwards. If it is asking for a password now, someone changed something. I have a laptop that I just upgraded and the PIN login is still there. If you don't know the password, and don't have a password reset disk, you are in trouble.
You may be able to remove the BIOS password using a parallel plug. This WEB site describes the procedure for such a plug and how to bypass this BIOS password. http://www.laptoprepair101.com/laptop/2006/02/10/remove-clear-toshiba-laptop-bios/
If you have forgotten the PIN, take the unit to the location at which the PIN was entered. The unit will unlock and you can change the PIN to something you will remember.
You can get it back on of two ways: Visit virginmobile.com and select 'forgot my password' - answer your security question and they will text or email your PIN.
You can also call Virgin Mobile and ask what your security question was, answer the question, and they can send you a text of your number.
If you've forgotten the answer, you're likely not going to get the PIN code. Good luck!
