My phone is asking me to enter PUK. What is that and how do I get back to my regular screen?

PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a uniqueeight-digit code specific to your SIM card. This is required when the PINnumber to unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. You are thengiven 10 attempts to enter your PUK code. PUK code is called as PERSONNAL UNBLOCKING KEY.
Your phone will ask for PUK code when you entered the PIN code wrongly several times depending upon the mobile make. The mobile asks for PUK code so that unauthorized persons do not use your mobile for wrong cause.
To get PUK code please contact your service provider through phone or go directly to their office. They will provide you the PUK code for your mobile. The PUK code for mobile phone.so that you can open your phone. When you planning to call your service provider you cannot use your mobile as it is fully locked. Please use some other mobile with same network to call your service provider.
While you get the PUK code ,the service provider customer care officer will ask for your personal details to check whether the mobile belongs to you only. If they are satisfied with your answers they will provide with the PUK code
DONOT enter the PUK code several times wrongly,It will block your sim card permanently.

it is possible that your sim card provider has locked your account because of several missed attempt to unlock the sim on a new phone. all you need to do is call your telco provider and ask help to reset your PUK code. Goodluck!

see....note down your sim card number which is on the back of your sim.then from other phone call your customer care..and tell your sim number they will tell you the puck code now enter the puk code and your sim will start working...

if you contact 02 and ask them for puk code they will issue one over the phone and this will unlock your mobile .the puk is free .

dont enter any other numbers till you get a puk .
