Hi Abby,

Most manufacturers do not warranty "damage from handling, misuse, neglect, accident" as that is not they way their products are intended to be used. Warranties usually apply to defects in workmanship and failures not associated with the list of things above.

This is why 3rd party warranty companies such as "Square Trade" came into being. These companies will offere to extend your manufacturer's warranty to 2, 3 or more years and offer protection from the types of problems they do not cover - drops, submersion, breakage, etc. Cost is based on the product, cost, length of warranty term and extent of coverage. As long as it wasn't stolen - return all the parts of the covered device for repair, replacement or reimbursement. You can also usually insure these products as a special "rider" on your homeowners insurance, too. Contact your agent to learn about the availability and cost of this coverage.

Good luck!

My two year old daughter broke the screen on her tablet does her warranty over this she just got it oct 30th

warranty policies usually do not cover physical damage to devices and you will have difficulty proving screen was cracked without external physical damage eg. like dropping it.

Cracked screen

Depends on the warranty and how it broke. The one year warranty written on the box is from the manufacturer. You may or may not need your receipt. Call/email the manufacturer and ask about the warranty. If the warranty doesn't cover accidents, hopefully the device broke under normal use, and you'll tell support that when you contact them.

Cracked screen on kocaso ipad

Hi, if no longer under warranty? a replacement screen is only option. Is the main lcd panel cracked also, i.e. bleeding in display when pressed?
There is an outer cover on top of lcd panel known as the digitizer, this part controls the touch movement of screen. If lcd is undamaged a new digitizer can be purchased at reasonable price here.http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale/wholesale-kocaso-touch-screen.html

I have a binatone homesurf tavlet 7, and i dropped it and the screen cracked,iv only had it2 days and im mad at myself< any ideas< to fix maybe????

Sorry you had such a upsetting accident. Unless you're an electronics repair wizard yourself and know where to get a replacement screen I would make no attempt to fix it myself. Your warranty has just barely started.

It's a brand new unit (just came out) and you'll regret messing around with it trying to get it fixed. I suggest you adjust yourself to being without it for a week or two and get it back like new. As one who has in the (distant) past tried to repair electronics under warranty he wasn't knowledgeable to work on I can testify that the warranty route is the way to go 8^).

Patience, just think of the tablet return the way you thought about it before you bought it... anticipation!
