Samsung syncmaster 223bw At first when the monitor was turned on it would do a vertical roll similar to old tv needing the vertical hold button adjusted. It got worse over time and now is useless. I would...

Most new LCD tv and monitors color, brightness, vert.hold, horz.hold, resolution, ect., are all controlled by a single programmed EEPROM, that costs more to replace than a new monitor/tv. You pay for the programming, not the chip.

No input signal recommended settings hp vs15 monitor 1024x768 60h

old monitor 1280 x 1024
power light on?
OSD work?
if it said on the screen no input sig, then that is 100% true
the PC is not sending output.

check the video cable connections both ends
then if bad, boot PC to safe mode. does that work.
then maybe you set the PC graphic resolution too high for the monitor. use safe mode to set new , legal resolution
1280 x 1024 is max, do not exceed, the horz, vert, reso to the left here. if you do the monitor , will display, out of range. errors.

im confused, you show HP monitor then Sam.
why ?
my guess is HP question posted in SAM section.
so here is my HP answer
1280 x 768 @ 75Hz

if your PC or other device exceeds any of those. this old monitor
will go blank.
HOR, vert and refresh rates max.

to solve this riddle, set the PC to
1280 x 768
then connect monitor and bingo.
but there is a chicken and egg deal here.
if the display car is over this, as most new systems are.
then use safe mode to set the resolution to 1280 x 768
and reboot to normal mode.
boot and it F8 , safemode.

Mitsubishi VS-50803 Big Screen TV - Trying to hook up an HDTV cable box, I was told to hit: menu, 1, 3, 7, 0 - to get to the service menu and switch DTV over to HD and that would solve my no signal...

First please confirm actual model number on rear of set.

Something is not right here, I am looking at Mitsubishi material downloaded in my computer; shows all codes for sets up to 2004. VS-50803 is a VZ6 Chassis made in 1998 and I doubt it is HD set, if it is one of the early ones it will have beneath the HD input vert sync and Horz sync---those required a special box from Mitsubishi etc.

Set has 3 hidden menus:
1. Option menu (for hard reset)= Menu 1,3,7,0 enter
2. Circuit adjust menu= Menu 2,3,5,7 enter
3. Convergence adjust menu= Menu, 2,3,5,9,enter (#4,5,6 on remote then change modes)

Does the DTV input have the two vert, horz jacks as well?

First is the Option menu is really only for a hard reset of the entire set, if you engaged it you may have de-converged the set.

The adjust menu is for height, width etc

The convergence menu is for convergence.

If you did something and did not save it, unplugging set should put it back to before what you did.

In the OPTION MENU WHAT DID YOU SELECT AND DID YOU HIT ENTER WHEN YOU FINISHED?

I 'm repairing a process panel monitor and so far where i have reached I've got retrace lines running up and down the screen, I've tried balancing the vert height, vert linerity and vert freq so my question...

poor guy , the last 15" CRT monitor on earth , almost runs.
why not upgrade to cheap used LCD 19"? monitor and send this one to the toxic Lead (Pb) recycle center and pretend never seen one.
VGA no less, right?
there is no shorted of good used vga monitor better on earth.
zero shortage. and dirt cheap that size, and nobody wants them.

I am not able to expand the screen

Did you try to adjust with front pannel switch?

If the switch not working then change the micro switches.

Check the width boost capacitor (Polyster cap. 1.5Kv / 1.8kv / 2kv etc) in Horz. section

Check the SMPS voltage for Horz.

Can i use my 21'' Onida tv kit on my 17'' LG crt monitor pictur tube ?

You can use the tube alright but there are corrections to be done on the tube and the CRT base needs a rewiring
Secondly the convergence, the horz/vert will not be correct and truthful.
You will get a picture but the aspect my differ a bit.
So make the alterrations on the CRT base of monitor and rewire.

My Compaq P110 monitor's VGA input does not working

posted 2 times, please erase one, thanks.
P110.

its a tuby 4:3 monitor, useless for wide video. plays.
1600 x 1200 at 85 Hz
do not exceed this, or boom. 1920x1080 will fail.
no resolution stated by you. and matters big time on all old monitors. (old = poor resolution only)

redux for less....words...
does it fail on all PCs connected, sure
does it fails set to lowest Resolution and 60hz?
RGB BNC only proves the analog side works.
not the digital side.

The VGA needs sync
if the PC is working (is it? on other monitors set to below reso.?)
then the 2 sync lines are active
at 1600 x 1200 , max (cant exeed this, ever)

then if that is true then the OSD buttons now work
do they? this is next.

does the On screen menu button work?
if not? it's a digital failure.....
or power to that section dead. or weak.

only googling finds schematics this old.
sorry.
nobody fixes these now, for good reasons.
labor costs on it would exceed a new LCD. fast.
we call this throwing good money after bad.

I just puchased from an individual a 4X12X50 Buckmaster scope and had it installed on a 270WBYMAG. Here is my question the adjustment for the horz and vert knobs how many inches per click. Thanks

You scope adjusts at 4 clicks per inch at 100 yards. Commonly called a quarter graduation. (To answer you question accurately it is 0.25 inches per click)
