If the screen turns on and looks like it's working but there is no heat, then the problem is the thermal fuse. It takes reassembly and a $5 replacement fuse. I replaced mine with one of the same specifications and it lasted a month. I replaced it again with one that trips at a 10 degrees higher setting and it's been good for a couple of years now.

I fixed 2 of these Breville smart ovens by replacing the thermal fuse. As yourself, they were dead yet the power outlet was good. This is a common fault wit stuff that heats up, like toasters, coffee brewers and such. I got my thermal fuses on ebay and radio shack. Just make sure you take note of the polarity of the thermal fuse before clipping off( they are soldered on) to make sure you place the new thermal fuse just as the old one.

How do I fix the Convection Fan not running/working

Make sure that the fan motor is being energized. If so, and it does not run then the fan needs to be replaced.

Breville smart oven no heat or convection fan. LCD and controls working and can hear the oven clicking on.

The fan probably operated on the heat... I would tackle the THERMOSTATS, heat elements (at least 2) and/or fuse first.

My favorite supplier, appliancepartspros, struck out on Breville
(never-mind) I'll add a couple of credible ones at the bottom.

Sears parts is a good information source... but very pricey ($$$$) for the EXACT SAME PARTS you can get elsewhere...

If you can determine from your OWNERS papers which part you want to try first... get the operating parameters... and and check with a volt meter (ohms scale... power OFF)... for continuity on the FUSE, heaters & thermostat.

There is a possibility your control board (PCB) is at fault... it seems to be getting scarce... Turn it over and look for a burned/broken solder joint.

http://www.ereplacementparts.com/breville-bov800xl-smart-oven-parts-c-116052_116061_116092.html

In any case... get three prices...

In the event that PCB is the issue I do recommend LOOKING TO SEARS because of their parts support and warranty...

Good luck (finding the FUSE).

Website includes support. The door problem is most likely mechanical in nature and possibly could be found by simple disassemble, by anyone mechanically inclined. .

My Breville BOV800XL doesn't have any power.

My BOV800XL did the same thing. Of the three parts you mention the thermal fuse is by far the easiest to test and in my opinion the most likely to go out first. Check it with a meter. If you have trouble locating it read the FixYa solution for "The Breville BOV650XL will not power on." Check it for continuity like you would any fuse.

I found replacement parts at ereplacementparts.com. The thermal fuse assembly was $23 when I checked. Or you could just replace the actual fuse portion of the assembly with a comporable fuse such as http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/NTE8213. Basically you need a 216*C thermal fuse. These can be had for less than $2 plus shipping. Buy a few just in case.

I just ordered my fuses today so I can't report on the success of my repair, but I am confident the new fuse will solve the problem.
