Hi Michael,
Sorry about your set. Consult the company guys. If their price suits you, go for the panel/screen replacement. Otherwise a new set is a better option. Put the internals of the old set on net for sale. Good luck.

It will be best to buy a new TV; instead of replacing its LCD screen; as it might cost 2/3rd of the total cost of a new TV.

Hello, It will be very difficult to get a Plasma screen. Even though you did get one. If you want to do an experiment, you can. Even LCD screen is not available; from trusted source.

My clarion car radio screen is cracked really bad tv and stereo still work can i just replace the screen

Well if only the screen is cracked it is possible to only replace the screen but if the necessary part, in this case "the screen" , if it is not available in a store then your mechanic or you won't be able to replce the broken screen but rather change the whole device.

Would a cracked screen cause no picture

Would you be able to provide the model number of your TV to provide you with more info?
If your TV is a DLP, the lamp would need to be replace to get the picture working again.

My son threw a ball and hit the screen cracks all over can this be fixed with a new screen or is it junk now really bright light shows through all the crack marks

The front glass is just a protector for the LCD screen. If your TV turns on and the picture looks ok (may be a little color variation around the crack if front glass is pushing on it, variation OK black Bad) If the picture looks within the range described then replace the glass. It is just a piece of standard glass and a pretty easy diy job. If the LCD screen is broken the repair will be more than the replacement cost. Sad fact US TV repairmen make a living wage while the workers that assembled you TV wouldn't be able to buy lunch here with what they made putting it together.

Canon S2 IS LCD Screen Doesn't Work Correctly

Hi, Some leads from the display wires are cracked or broken, if you are accurate enough you can replace it by yourself otherwise bring it to an repairshop.

Broken screen

if it is limited to external glass the glass can be ordered separately but if there is internal crack on pdp itself would have to replace pdp. from my experience generally if it limited to crack on external glass there still should be picture so there may be additional damage to plasma display itself

CRACK LCD TV SCREEN

I had one broken a few months ago. I got a couple quotes.. it was about $200 less then a brand new one. I'd just buy a new one.
For the new TV I'd pickup a screen protector for it. My son threw a toy at my TV the other day and I nearly had a heart attack from the flashbacks. Thank God I picked up one of these a few weeks earlier. It stopped it. LCD screens really break easily as you know. http://www.tv-armor.com

CRACK LCD TV SCREEN

A couple of weeks ago we had the screen broken in our LG LCD TV when one for the kids threw something at the screen. We got a quote to fix it and it was going to cost more to replace the screen than what it would be to buy a brand new TV. We shopped around for a new TV, comparing LCDs and Plasmas. In the end we purchased a new LG Plasma, which had a thin layer of glass over the screen for protection compared to the LCD. We thought this would be much safer with a 4 and 6 year old around the house running amuck. And there seems to be no differfence between the LCD and the Plasma. Hope this help someone's problem.
