You will have to reset the tablet. Press the power and volume up buttons together to reboot. If this does not work, look for a small switch (accessible by a paperclip or small screwdriver) behind a small hole.

If you forgot the pattern, then you need to hard reset it.
But, you will lose all the data.
If you tell the exact model of your tablet, I can give instructions for hard reset.
if its legitimate and not stolen just ask the person you bought it from for password or reset to factory settings and put your own pattern lock and email on it
If you swipe the pattern wrong 5 times Android should pop up an option to wait for a timeout with a button that says "forgot pattern". If you click on that button you should be able to type in the Google account info that the system is setup on and it should put you right in.
Depending on the firmware revision you may be able to reset the password through Google Authentication so first your tablet must: 1. Have been registered with a Google Account 2. Be connected to the internet 3. Have the latest version of Cruz Reader Firmware
If the above is try, try the following to reset the pattern: 1. Try to unlock the pattern 3 to 5 times until you see "Forgot Pattern" pop-up 2. Click on the "Forgot Pattern link 3. Follow the steps to reset the pattern
