Remove songs that have been added to device

Automatically adding and removing songs and playlistsWhen iPod is set to automatically sync all music with iTunes (default setting), songs and playlists that are added or deleted from your iTunes Library will also be added or deleted from your iPod when the iPod is connected and synced with iTunes. If your iPod is set to only sync certain playlists automatically, songs are added or removed from the iPod when they are added or removed from the playlists in iTunes that are synced to iPod1. Check the format of the songs you recently added maybe are not compatible with your device

give it to a service station..... and dont remove before using safely remove device option..

First you need to sync device before adding songs. First plug in device, than make sure computer notices player. Than go into media player or music folder and sync device. Than you can either create a sync list from there, or you can drag songs from music folder into your player folder.

Open start menu, my computer, E,F, or G drive should have player on it. You can drag songs from music folder into this drive folder and they will be automatically added

Try adding the songs on the the device with Winamp.
(take the songs off and put then in a folder on your computer 1st)

The playlist created on this device is what I find to be really crappy. I've tried it and songs just seem to appear randomly. For this sake, don't use the playlist. Highlight every song that you want in a group in a (like in a playlist), then right-click then click properties. Go to the details tab and change the 'Album' field all at once to what you would like to call your grouped 'album'. Then when you safely remove the device, you can get all your songs in the same album!!!!

No limit on the Genres.

If you keep adding music in different modes, Windows Media Player and Windows Explorer will not show the correct free space.

Theres a good chance you have too music music on your device and the device does not have enough free space to create the Database, or the songs, artists, album, etc.

Try deleting a few songs from the device with Windows Explorer and disconnect the player and let it restart.

If that doesnt work, you can FORMAT the device to remove all of the music and start over.


To format in My Computer>Device name (e280)>Right Click and select FORMAT.

You may have to install Musicmatch and add songs through the portable device menu. It worked for me. Good luck.

Wal mart downloads are notorious for not working with subscription devices (i.e. - devices that use rhapsody, or yahoo.).

You have 2 options;

 1) dont use any music from wal-mart

 2) burn the music to a cd, the re-rip them to your PC, thusly removing any copy protection and then re-transfer them to your device.

Check the used space on the device. (Right-click the drive letter in 'My Computer' and select properties). The e130 has 512MB of internal memory and you will be able to compare the amount of used space listed here against the amount listed when you view the songs in a folder. If it's different, try right-clicking the drive letter again and 'format'. This will erase all data on the device, allowing for a fresh start.
