LAMP WENT OUT, THEN CLICKING SOUND.  REPLACE LAMP AND STILL BLACK SCREEN AND CLICKING SOUND

Changed lamp and picture stay on for 1 1/2 min then video go out then audio follow. This is a Samsung DLP HLR 50 67WX/XAA,Is this an overheating problem with the lamp or is it a power supply overheating problem or the digital board?

Samsung dlp tv picture turns off sound stays on

Hello
Check whether the lamp life hours are going to be out. Refer to its user manual for details. DLP chips fault is very rare; unless you have handled them very carefully. Check the lamp and BALLAST baord that supplies voltage to lamp.

Did you replace the lamp because the picture went out (black)?

No picture

Pull the front cover off at the bottom. You will see a panel which has to be removed using a screw driver. Inside you will see the lamp assembly. It is a removable box. The lamp can be changed out by just changing out the connections on the new lamp. Before you pull it though try reducing your picture size to 4:3 it helped us to get a little more life out of our lamp.
