just turn on printer and connect to wifi. then try to print something from you iMac, the iMac will look for available printers, select your printer and the iMac will do the rest.(assuming you have yosemite or el capitan on your iMac)
could be the document size or not enough memory or if you are printing from a network could be network traffic... try deleating the current driver software and reinstall the new software using the disc that came with the printer
This article on How to Troubleshoot the Vizix Ink Technologywill help fix print quality problems on your printer. To run the Deep Clean Printhead function on your printer -> on the printer operator panel, press Setup -> Maintenance -> select Deep Clean Printhead. Your printer will then print the test page. Hope this helps. Thanks.
To make my Lexmark e250DN work on the network using my new Belkin N300, I had to do this:
1. Install router as per Belkin instructions.
2. Power off printer, then connect Lexmark printer to the router. Power on printer.
3. In a Browser, go to 192.168.2.1 which is the Router's IP address.
4. Click on DHCP Client List. You will see a list of the "computers" connected to the router, which includes the printer. Your printer will have a very long alphanumeric Host Name (mine began with E00000) Note the IP address (something like 192.168.2.4) That is the printer's IP address.
5. In Control Panel, Printers & Faxes,
a) if the printer was previously installed with a different router, edit its settings to use the new IP address;
b) if the printer was not previously installed, ADD a Network Printer at address http://192.168.2.x (x being whatever your DHCP client list showed).
That should do it.
I would like to inform you that Lexmark X5470 is not a wireless printer. However, if you want it to use wireless then you should have a Lexmark N4050e 802.11g Wireless Print Server.
Call the tech people at the router company they will walk you through getting it set up properly. If it worked before the change over, then part of their job is making sure you are set up again with the new system.
It sounds like a software configration issue. try and access the Network menu on your MFC and remove any static IP that might have been setup by your software and retry to configure the printer.
