You could have ten people talking to each other and if no one wants to talk to you then you will be talking to no one.Now if its a radio problem then I would say turn up the variable for your modulation , make sure your RF GAIN is wide open and turn your SQUELCH all the way to the left then go to different channels and ask for a radio check or have a friend drive far enough away and with his radio give you a radio check.

Ranger vr 9000 how to turn down the talkback

First , is this radio new or used ? If it is new I see no dial for talk back and if it is used then was talk back added to it ? Open the radio so you can check out trace side of the radio and look to where the speaker jacks plug in. If you see a resister soldered across them then disconnect it and your talk back is gone, unless you still want it then solder a 220 ohm resister in place of the one you removed. if the radio is out of the box new then it should be adjustable but as I look at the face I see no knob marked as talk back.If you ordered this radio and asked for talk back on a seperate switch then which one ? look at it and make the call as to which wires to cut and do it .

I have an echo mic on my 29. I can't use mic gain at all without it squeeling. Can barely here my talk back in this position.

re do the talkback. take out the resistor for the talkback. and put in the talkback that is a little outta phase and you won't get that constant feed back. make sure all the modulation limiters are not cut also.. A good shop would tune up and talk back a radio correctly for $10-$15 dollars. any more and they are ripping you off. I make sure my customers radios do not squeal before giving it back. that means i may have to try different values for the talk back to be right. so the customer can have the mic gain 100 % and it be ok...then the microphone mic adjustment can be set also.. let me know if you need help

Cb puts out good sound but when someone try to talk to me it all you hear is static

same thing sometimes happens to me. Usually it is because the person who is talking to you might have a weaker antenna. Sometimes people put a very strong transmitter with them and talk to people but you cant talk back.
So really they can't hear you good either. Just because you are too far away.

When i talk people they can hear me but i cant hear them talk back to me

Turn up your RF gain. If that isn't the issue, then the mic may be damaged. Try a new mic.

Radio transmits fine but the receive volume is way down. Can hardly hear it with volume turned up full.

If you have talk back in this radio.( you hear your self through the radio when you transmit) then its a good bet that the RX wire in the mic plug has broken off.

The mic switch is responsible for putting the radio into receive mode when you release the key. If the RX wire is broken, the radio will not go into receive.

Normally when this happens you have no receive at all no matter what, but you will have very low sound if you have talk back installed in the radio.

Because of this, if you have talk back in your radio, and the volume is faint even at full blast, its a good bet that its a broken RX wire in the mic cord or plug.

You can attempt to see if the break is at the mic plug. if it is, you can re solder it and it will solve your problem. If you have no clue, then you can just go buy new 4 pin mic.

How can i disconnect the talk back on a connex 3300 plus? pleasa be specific on directions. thanks

in older connex 3300's you cannot disable the talk back. Its part of the audio chain. If you disable the talk back you will loose your audio. There are 2 things you can do.

Hook a relay to the speaker so that when the radio key's id disconnects the speaker. (Big pain, not worth the trouble.)

The other will not disable the talk back but it will stop any squealing.

Use a noise canceling mic. An RK-56 will work great. You will get no squealing with that mic.

Why does my cobra 148 GTL CB give out a squeeking noise when i trasmit as heard by others receiving me ??

is this a new radio? if so then the voltage change on the vco/pll will cause a squeak. kindda like a cobra 19dx does. also like the old golden eagle squeal .. all due to the voltage being unstable.. now is it that prob or do you have talkback and its loud/bad grounds causing a squeal. that could be the case too. if you have talk back let me know there's a cure for that. contact us..we can put the talkback just lil outtaphase to stop 99% of the squeals in cobra/uniden chassis radios.

My talk back is low cant hear it

You really don't want to have a loud talk back. Its usually controlled by your mic gain. the louder it is, the louder your talk back is.

Talk back is used so you can her how your audio is being transmitted. It makes a lot of sense when you have echo. use it to hear you echo to make sure its not too much.

The problem with a loud talkback is, if it is too high, you will get feed back in your transmit.

You should leave it where it is.

Connex 4600 turbo the talk back

THE TALK BACK VOLUME IS CONTROLLED BY THE MIC GAIN, TRY ADJUSTING YOUR TALK BACK VOLUME ABOUT TURNING THE MIC GAIN FROM 12 OCLOCK TO 6 OCLOCK, DO NOT WORRY YOU WILL NOT LOSE ANY OUT BOUND POWER UNLESS YOU TURN THE MIC GAIN BELOW 11 OCLOCK
