If it is not the ignition module, try checking the igniter electrode to see if it is slightly corroded or rusty. Lightly sand with emery cloth, small wire brush or dollar bill. Also check the same on the ground @ which the electrode arcs across & clean if necessary.

My ge xl44 range left burners do not ignite. When the left buttons\ are pressed for igniting, the igniting sounds are heard in the right burners but the left burners do not ignite.

It sounds like you are having a problem with the ignition system on your GE XL44 range. The ignition system is responsible for lighting the gas burners on your range, and if it is not functioning properly, the burners will not ignite.
There are a few things you can try to fix this problem:
  1. Make sure that the burners and the ignition system are clean. If the burners or ignition system are clogged with debris, it can prevent the burners from lighting.
  2. Check the ignition system for any visible damage or debris. If the ignition system is damaged or clogged, it may not be functioning properly.
  3. Check the electrical connections on the ignition system to make sure they are secure.
  4. If the problem persists after trying these steps, it may be necessary to have the ignition system inspected by a technician to determine the cause of the issue.
It is also possible that there is a problem with the gas supply to the burners or some other issue, so it may be worth having a technician inspect the range to diagnose the problem.

While does my Elve stove top keep clicking ? I've cleaned the igniters. Turned off the power but they keep clicking

If you have cleaned the igniters on your Elve stove top and turned off the power, but they still keep clicking, there may be a few potential causes:
  1. Wetness or moisture: If any of the ignition switches, spark module, or wiring harness has gotten wet or damp, it can cause the clicking sound to continue. Try drying off the stove top and allowing it to sit for a few hours before trying again.
  2. Loose wiring: Check the wiring connections on the spark module and ignition switches to ensure they are tight and secure. Loose wiring can cause a short circuit and result in the clicking sound.
  3. Dirty burners: Even if the igniters are clean, the burners themselves may be dirty or clogged, preventing gas from flowing properly. This can cause the igniters to continue clicking in an attempt to ignite the gas. Try cleaning the burners thoroughly and see if that resolves the issue.
  4. Defective parts: If none of the above solutions work, there may be a problem with the spark module, ignition switches, or wiring harness. In this case, it may be best to contact a professional technician to diagnose and fix the issue.

Lofra service perth

Instructions
    • 1 Disconnect the range's power supply, either by turning off the breaker in your service panel, or unplugging the range from the wall outlet.
    • 2 Remove the burner grates, burner caps and burner bases. On some ranges, the burner bases are secured using screws, which you must remove.
    • 3 Insert a putty knifeicon1.png into the gap below the front of the each side of the range to release the spring clips securing the top to the range.
    • 4 Lift the top, and then have a partner hold the top up. If you are repairing the range alone, place a sturdy object under the top to secure it.
    • 5 Remove the burner orifice containing the igniter that you are replacing.
    • 6 Remove the screw securing the igniter to the underside of the orifice, and then remove the igniter.
    • 7 Pull the igniter wire off of the terminal, and then discard the igniter.
    • 8 Connect the igniter wire to the new igniter.
    • 9 Secure the new igniter to the underside of the orifice using the screw that you removed.
    • 10 Replace the burner orifice, and then secure it into position using the bolt that you removed.
    • 11 Lower the top onto the stoveicon1.png, and then press down to engage the spring clips.
    • 12 Replace the burner bases, caps and grates.
    • 13 Restore power to the range by plugging it back into the wall outlet or turning on the range breaker.

I have a Maytag gas range model MGR 5729 ADW. My problem is this: 1. The igniter glows brightly 2. Burner will light with a strong woosh, but not until 2-3 minutes. 3. Burner goes out after about 30...

get in a gas fitter to properly diagnose the problem,
igniters in ovens normally click / flash as that ignites gas quicker than a hot wire so I suspect that is problem 1
problem 2 indicates that there is a gas flow problem, probably a faulty hose or regulator
what ever it is , gas is not in the domain of diy so an accredited professional gas fitter is required to do the fix

I have just replaced all the ignitors and the spark control module on the cook top burners. Prior to this the back burners would cause ignition spark continually when lit. the front 2 burners could be...

first check to make sure all the burner tops are setting correctly on the burner base, if not it will make the flame uneven. the way the igniter works is once they feel the flames on them they will stop sparking. make sure the flames are not too low and they are touching the igniter. check them one at a time. if you have any questions message me back thanks

The ignition feature seems to have stopped working on the range and stove. I do ot have a manual for this unit and the exterior labeling does not indicate a model number. What steps should I take to...

as both top and oven quit at the same time
if the lighting mechanism was a clicker type you used to her a snapping noise
for the top burners ovens are normally a hot surface ignition or glow rod the first thing i would make sure the outlet has power all four burners on top use same spark module and normally oven is separate module or control each burner control provides power to module separatly when turned on and you can test voltage at spark module mormally located behind a cover on back of stove
caution modules are wired 120volt and you would need a tester follow cord from outlet to where it enters back of stove normally wiring is close to cord entry point

2 of 4 burners ignite, all tick?

The two front burners are used most often. On the side of the burners are tiny holes that become plugged and keep the burner from lighting. If all the burners are the same size try swapping the heads around. If they are not all the same size be sure they are in the correct position and fully seated on the top. Sometimes the heads have to be replaced when cleaning no longer works.

Igniter of back burner dies not click or light

I had the same issue with washing the top with water and cleaning solution. I had arching, eventually one burner failed to ignite. I tried the above solution and it did not work. Remove the ceramic top on the burner that will not ignite. Turn on another working element. Do you see the igniter working?

If so slowly turn on the gas on the failed burner and it will ignite. I'm looking into what component automatically controls the igniting and gas release when the knob is turned on.

Top burners often wont light if oven is already lit

Hello and welcome,
If your range has electronic igniters, then you seem to have one or more bad igniters on top of the range if you have a pilot range then you have a gas restriction or clogged orifice tube.
Even if they make the click noise while trying to light they may not get hot enough to draw the gas on a constant speed!

This will need to be diagnosed hands on at your location.
But this is the fault!

Thank you for using fixya.
