Instillation of webcam without cd driver

you must be having a cd for the webcam when you bought the laptop, that cd contains the software required for the webcam and the driver so install the software from the cd as the webcam is a hardware and a hardware cant perform without a software or a driver.

Download driver off net from vendor

You will need to install driver BEFORE you plug n webcam or will not work at all.
Only plug it in when told to.

before installng the driver you must first remove it by uninstalling the previous driver from your machine. To do that, go to control panel, click the webcam software that you use then click uninstall. after uninstalling put the cd to the dvd rom drive then, run it, then install it.

i lost the installation cd. is there anyway i can download the software needed?

i have a gigaware webcam and no matter how i try to install it with the CD it is not connecting
