Does the car try to crank or nothing happens when you turn the key. If nothing happens recheck your wires and connection to battery. You did disconnect your battery when you did all the work. If you did not check fuses. with the battery hucked up you may have struck a arc and blown a fuse. I am really guessing because I don't know what you car is doing when you try to crank it.
I changed the radiator in 04 rio a few months ago and I did not have any trouble.
Have Codes read if possible that usually give me a starting point.

Did you bleed all the air out of the cooling system after you put all the coolant in?
Some cars may not start, because the computer thinks there's no coolant in the engine.
Hope this helps.

Where to fine the thermostat on the radiator of a 2004 kia rio

The thermostat will be on the engine block. Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine-the end of the hose clamps on to the thermostat housing-the thermostat is under the housing. Remove the bolts of the housing and pull it off to see the thermostat. Of course, the coolant must be drained first, or you will have a big mess to clean up.

I can't find the thermostat on the 2001 Kia Rio. Do you have to remove the air intake hose to get to it?

Follow the upper radiator hose to where it attaches to the engine.....remove that end of the hose.....the thermostat looks like this:

04 kia rio , engine made noise than stopped ,now wont turn over.

That's what happened to mine when the timing chain broke.. my 04 cinco had about 80k miles on it at this point. Unfortunately I warped the valves when it happened so it cost a small fortune to fix :(

2003 rio kia roaring noise in rear

brake drums ar faily simple to change, if u take the wheels off ul see a little centre cap, behind the cap theres a 21 mm nut, be careful not to mix up the nuts cos they are opposite threads, n/s is left hand thread.
remove the nuts (i advise replacin the nuts) then tap the drum while u spin it jus to loosen it off then jus pull it off, be careful with the bearing cos they'll fall out, IMPORTANT! when tightening the centre nuts back up they jus need to be nipped up NOT tight, jus enough to take the play out of the bearings but keep it spinning freely, when put the wheels back on make sure theres no play in it

Kia rio 2001 thermostat

Fallow the "UPPER" Radiator Hose from the Radiator to the Engine Cylinder Head, The Thermostat Housing is the Unit that the UPPER Radiator Hose Connects to. Theres is 1 BOLT (TOP) & 1 NUT (BOTTOM) that you Remove to Gain Access to the Thermostat itself. Hoping this Helps you out There . Have A Great Day.
