How do I open the CD drawer on Toshiba satellite lap top

According to the spec below, there is no optical drive on that model. The trend (in the B-series) is to use thumb/flash drives instead. Satellite/Satellite Pro C40/C50/C70-B Series User's Guide

You push a button on the drawer or some you just push gently on the drawer . I have a Toshiba satellite. Hopefully hlprd

by using the start cd you have
that says Toshiba on it
you got it with the lap top

Format and re-install windows or use the factory recovery partion if you have it. You might have the recovery cd, just boot it up with it in the cd drive and follow the on-screen prompts

Try holding down FN key and F( key. This activated and de-activates the touch pad

the best thing to do is to get the help of a qualified technician(better go to a toshiba service centre)
they will help you with this.
try removing the battery after turning off the computer and removing the power supply.reinsert the battery and turn on th notebook. it should work fine.
else contact the technician.

There is a very small hole in the cd tray, left or right side of the eject button of the CD/DVD tray.... insert a very small needle or a hardwire of 2 inches length and the cd will automatically come out of the tray..

At startup you should see a prompt to press F12 or another key combination to select a boot menu. Then selcet the CD/DVD drive, then you should get a prompt to press any key.

If that doesn't work, then boot to the BIOS setup (Again there should be a prompt at boot to go to setup, then change the boot order to CD/DVD, save settings and exit
