Hi there I just bought a eos d2000 camera and am concerned about the file size when transfering the images onto my laptop. they seem to be way smaller than most digital images and im not shure if this is a problem with the camera firm ware.

Go into the camera's settings and see if there is an option there to change the resolution, if it's the size in MegaPixels you're concerned about.
There may also be an option to take the pictures in RAW format rather than JPG, if it's the size in MegaBytes that you're concerned about.

Other tell-tale signs of small files could be:
File is a video file.
Picture was taken as a burst or panoramic.
Digital zoom was at full. (Try setting the camera to not use digital zoom - it's basically just cropped.)

EOS utility not tranfering all images on card

You are better off to simply remove the card and either use your built in card reader or obtain a external USB card reader and transfer your images that way. All you have to do is open 2 "My Computer" windows. Simply drag your photos from your card to your C: drive.

CARD-READER.
ALWAYS DELETE IMAGES FROM CARD WHEN ITS IN CAMERA
BEST TO FORMAT CARD AFTER DELETION OF PICTURES.

Uploads images to camera grayed out

Are you shooting in JPEG or RAW.

If Jpeg then you can just go into MY COMPUTER, the camera when connected should be recognised as a removable drive, just copy the images directly from your PC to the Card. If you are shooting in RAW then the chances are your digital frame will not recognise the file, convert to JPEG then transfer the same way. There may be a problem with the transfer process via the Canon Drivers, if you have a Card reader it is much easier to transfer the files that way.

Canon 20d raw to pc

Have you ever been able to view the pictures on your pc?
Have you got a card reader that can view the card contents externaly from the camera?
I found the Canon software is quite as happy from a card reader as it is reading from the camera. (I have the next model up, 30D.)
Have you tried upgrading your software, or tried using a third party image program to read the raw files?
Over to you!

I can't seem to send images from my camera via cable or infrared

Simply get a cable that fits. The camera cable should be a standard USB A for the Computer- assuming the computer has USB or is it Sony and fitted with Fire-wire in which you will need an adaptor Fire-wire to USB
