It is the y to the x button, to the right of the EXP button. On the screen, the ^ will appear.

For example, 10 y to the x 3 will equal 1 000, 10 x 10 x 10.

SOURCE: I have a TI-30XS Calculator

One solution that you might try is to put the scientific numbers in parentheses. For instance open parenthesis, type in the first scientific notation then close parenthesis, next hit the divide key and then open parenthesis and type in the 2nd number in scientific that you are dividing by and then close parenthesis. Hit enter or =. I'm not sure if this will fix your problem, but it is worth a try.

Scientific notation on BD - 107i calculator?

Of course it is possible!

There seem to be many ways to do this on this calculator.

Assuming we cannot do scientific notation, we can always do

6.02 x 10 ^ 23 / 3.01 x 10 ^23. However, we have to put brackets in to get BEDMAS to work correctly!

6.02 x 10^23 / (3.01 x 10^23) - for the 10^23, type 10 then the y to the x key and then 23.

Using the scientific notation, we can type in 6.02 EXP 23 / 3.01 EXP 23.

Good luck with your chemistry test tomorrow!

Take care,

Paul

Staples scientific calculator BD-107i

To find percentages on this calculator, or any calculator, you divide one number by the other, and multiply the result by 100.

For example, for 2 out of 5, we type in 2, hit the divide button, type in 5 and hit the equals sign and we will get 0.4. To make this into percentage, we then multiply the answer by 100 to get 40%.

Good luck,

Paul

How do i enter an exponent on the

It depends on the base of the power function.
For exponential function use [SHIFT][LN] (e^x) followed by the exponent value. If exponent is negative use the change sign +/- key before exponent.
For a general power, type in the base (number), then press the [Y^x] key followed by the exponent.
For a power of 10, use the [Exp] key. Careful here. For example to enter 1.6x10^(-19), type in 1.6, press the [Exp] key, then the change sign key +/- and the exponent. Press [=]
1 . 6 [Exp] +/- 19 [=]

Scientific calculator be-107i How do I input values for scientific notation?

You should have a key marked [EE], [EEE], [*10^x], or [EXP].
To enter 6.02*10^23 you type in 6.02[EE]23. No 10 should appear, because the key is a shortcut for *10^ ().

How are numbers in scientific notation entered in Aurora SC150X calculator

Look for a key that is marked EE, or Exp, or x10^x. To enter a number in scientific notation, you enter the decimal part, then press the Enter Exponent key, followed by the exponent. If exponent is negative, you precede it with a press of the change sign key (-).
Once a number is entered there is no special treatment: multiply it divide, or add it.

Where is the exponent key on Casio fx-115es calculator?

To raise 10 to an exponent, use the 10^x function (SHIFT log). To raise e to an exponent, use the e^x function (SHIFT ln). To raise an arbitrary value to an exponent, use x^y (just above the sin key). To enter an exponent of ten, use the x10^x key to the right of the decimal point.
