I have a lg dvd vcr combo rc6821 and it has been wokring fine uptill last wk wen i put a dbd in and it said unknown disc, it does this with any dvd now...?

Your DVD /VCR says unknown disc because the
dvd which you have inserted is not of the supported format by player.

If you insert unsupported formats only it will say as unknown disc.This is not related with disc cleaners.

Please insert the supported formats and it will play the disc.

if this happens to all discs needs to be repaired.my panasonic was playing up and not very old,and cost me $350.00 for a new driver.

I have same problem, and i keep getting the same info...to use a good quality cleaning disk...i am going to invest in another one £17 i will let you know how i get on...

I imagine you have checked the disk for scratches top and bottom, if so you can purchase a cd/dvd lens cleaner cdrom as the laser may need realigning and cleaning.

Have you put in the right Country Code?

Have you tryed to use a lens cleaning disc yet. The laser lens on these players and recorders alike, must have the lens cleaned every oince in awhile. If that does not help, most likly you have a bad laser pickup assembly and you will need to replace the plaer as to have that repaiered, you could buy a new unit. Good Luck
