SOURCE: broken switch

You can email Customer Service at Braun www.braun.com, give them you model number, and see if they will sell you a switch, but these unit's are made to be throwaway.

I just looked at the unit at Braun's website, and they don't show any replacement parts except for having to do with the caraffe.

I know, it's hard to let go of a perfectly good coffee maker like this, but, it's how the world has become.

I have a Braun KF600 thatI love. 2 days ago, it just stopped working. The on/off light is lit, so we have power. Water doesn't start to heat. No gurgling sound and water doesn't drip., therefore no...

Sounds like it could be a bad heating element, you could try to find a replacement but it would be pretty pie in the sky.

This is the cheapest replacement that I could find.

A small part of my Braun type 4085 coffee maker has fallen out and I don't know where it is from. It is a little round rubber ball with a stem out one end and a half of a circle on the other end. It...

The rubber ball is the stopper at the small opening under the funnel. When the pot is removed from the unit, the stopper closes to keep liquid from dripping on the warmer surface below. Try snapping it back into place so that the pin is facing towards the front of the machine. It may need glue.

Coffeemaker is falling apart

Unless the product is still under warranty, I would look for a new different brand. I have personally used a 'Mr Coffee' unit with similar features and with the exception of periodic cleaning with water/white vinegar solution, it has worked fairly well. The pot dribbles a little if not carefully poured and if the basket is not fully seated, coffee runs all over. Everyone has had a turn at dealing with poorly made/designed products that fail to meet expectations. Better luck next time!

Clock works but on button does not. Help! I need my coffee! this is for my Braun Aromaster KF 12.

I would take it apart and verify if the switch works with a DMM (multimeter) on the ohms(resistance) setting.

if the switch is bad then replace it.

if the switch tests ok then keep searching until you find the problem.

if a major part is broken you might want to buy another at a thrift store or yard sale and keep the broken one for spare parts.

Swing-out filter basket with pause and serve..not functioning properly

Something wrong with your little 'grab a cup' mechanism. There should be 2 hinged plastic pieces (one of which contains the 'nipple', and one spring. The spring is shaped like a squared off 'U', and is about 2 inches long. Check to make sure all these parts are there, and move freely.
Also, check the basket. It dovetails onto a swing arm, and could be misplaced. If the basket is not positioned properly, the pot will not push up on the mechanism to let the coffee out. Make sure the pot is able to be pushed fully onto the hotplate and trip the mechanism as well.
