SOURCE: Need to know how to transfer my photos from my camera to my computer

1.  In the absence of the type of your digital camera, I will assume that you are using a USB connection to link your camera and computer.

1.  Connect your camera to the computer with USB cord when the camera is off.

2.  Switch on your camera

3.  If the Camera window doesnot appear automatically go and click the Start button then select the Control Panel

4.  In the Control Panel Select the Scanners and Camera icon then you will see your camera displayed on the opened window of Scanners and Cameras

5. Double click the camera icon on the screen and you will immediately see the pictures in your camera being read.

6.  A box with the Scanners and Camera Wizard will eppear with "Back", "Next" and "Cancel" click Next and then the pictures in your camera will be displayed with ticks markings

7.  If you want to copy all into "My Pictures/..." just select Next and the computer will start copying them.

8.  If you do not want to copy all of them then you can unmark those you dont want to copy and click next.

9.  Once the copying is through you can rest assured your pictures have been transferred to your computer.

I wish all the best with your new photos on your laptop!  Please remember when you are through to switch off the camera to preserve the battery for the next pictures to be taken.

SOURCE: photos being transferred to computer lost connection during transfer. Now no photos show in the queue

A good reason to use the 'copy' function whle transferring. Doing this will preserve the pix in the camera memory until you are sure they actually arrived on your computer.
If you have a card drive, you might pull your memory card and plug it in directly to see what might remain there. It may come up as only a 'removable drive' that you can address as if it was any other.

SOURCE: problem transferring photos to computer

Bypass the clumsy software and USB port altogether: see if you can upload to your computer using a CF card reader.

If it works you'll get quicker uploads as well, and if it doesn't work then you have a faulty CF card and will need to try reformatting it (in the camera, not using the pc!) or will have to replace it.

Another possible solution is to reinstall the KM software to your computer as the KM software is quite buggy and seems to corrupt quite easily.

How to transfer photos taken by an Olympus Camedia C-1000 L to a computer?

To transfer photos taken by an Olympus Camedia C-1000L camera to a computer, you can use the following method:
  1. Connect the camera to the computer using a USB cable.
  2. Turn on the camera and set it to the "PC" or "Computer" mode.
  3. On your computer, a new drive or a pop-up window should appear, indicating that the camera has been recognized.
  4. Open the drive or window and navigate to the folder where your photos are stored.
  5. Select the photos you want to transfer and copy them to your computer by using drag and drop or "Copy" and "Paste" functions.
Alternatively, you can use the Olympus Camedia Master software that came with the camera to transfer photos. Once connected and the software is open, you will be able to see the camera's content, then you can select and transfer the photos to your computer.
It's important to keep in mind that the Olympus Camedia C-1000L is an older model camera, which may not be compatible with the latest version of computer operating systems, so it's recommended to check the software and the operating system compatibility before transferring the photos.

Show me how to transfer photos from camera to computer

You didn't specify the make and model of your camera so I'll assume it uses a memory card of some type.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

I took some photos on my tough TG 310 with no memory card, i can view the images on the camera when the card is not in the camera but i can't see the images on my computer and can't upload them, is there a...

You have two options. If you normally transfer your photos by connecting your camera to your computer, remove the memory card before making the connection. This will allow the computer to see the photos in the camera's internal memory.

If you normally transfer your photos by putting the memory card into a card reader, use the Backup command in the Settings-1 menu to transfer the photos from the camera's internal memory to the memory card, then transfer the photos from the card to the computer as normal. Nikon Coolpix S52C camera transfer pictures problem.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

Can i transfer pictures to my ipad

With a card reader, you can move all the photos from your digital camera to computer. After that, you can take advantage of iTunes to transfer photos to your iPad. This should be easy, but please note that the RAW files takes much more storage space than the JPEG files, so you'd better take a look at your storage space of your iPad before you import photos from camera to iPad.
transfer-pictures-ipad-oxaxc0rwhkhzilrwacqreyis-2-0.jpg After importing photos from camera to iPad, you can view them with the Photos app on your iPad. The RAW files can also be read on your tablet, and supported RAW files are exactly the same as your Mac computer does.

Have a new sony dsc-w120 cyber shot camera. first digital camera and have no clue. also have memory stick duo. can i transfer pictures directly from the camera to my mac computer using usb...

OK,
Camera has small inbuilt memory that can store few pictures. You can copy these photos in memory stick by inserting memory stick in camera, go to Menu >> Copy >> Yes.
Memory stick stores many photos depends on its size and let memory stick in camera, hook it with computer and transfer photos from memory card.
Thanks.
