I have a 60 inch led samsung tv that only has a black screen and no sound other than the beep when it turns on and off. I can't bring up any menu or sound except sometime a faint static but it won't turn...

Check the power board, where 120 volts enter the TV. After the fuse, there is a small high voltage transformer. And on the other side, there is a capacitor (100 uf rated at 450 volts), check for 390 volts to 400 volts DC. If you have less than 390 volts, change the capacitor. I got two capacitors from old power supplies - 150 uf and 220 uf both rated at 400 volts. I connected them in parallel and the TV is back to normal.

Sony bravia kdl-46Xbr4 right side of screen is darker until the tv warms up flickers like a floresent bulb and is a brownish color

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.

I have an LG Plasma Model#DT42PY10X. IT HAS A RED LINE RUNNING DOWN THE RIGHT HAND SIDE AND i WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. THANKYOU

Hi:
If the line is less then 2 inches wide this us a good indication of a bad PDP panel (Screen) usually very thin lines indicates a failure in the screen itselg, altho you might try replacing the upper and lower buffer boards to ensure its not the screen. You might want to take off the back and try reseating all connectors leading to the buffers and the Digital board. But in my experience thin lines less then 2 inches usually results in a bad PDP.

I have have this TV for almost 3 yrs..now have a shaded area on the left side

The dark side of the screen causes of the lamp alignment or prism glass alignment. This is critical you have to consult your LG technician to do this. But if you have any background o repair consult the service manual. Please careful not to touch the prism quarts so that you maintained the clarity of picture and brightness on the screen.
