What should the height from the floor be for the TOP of the upper oven? Ours was installed today. I think it is too high.

Height is determined by the available space and the desire of the owner. There is no standard as far as I have ever heard. Eric

I have an old 24 single wall Tappan oven from around 1985 that needs to be replaced. There is no model or serial number. Where can I go to figure out the measurements of it?

Built in ovens come in three standard widths, 24, 27 and 30.

Look at the installation guide in the link for a sears for the 24 inch and confirm the width of your opening along with the depth. Make sure the new does not exceed your dimensions..

The problem is usually in the height. There is a lip that extends outside the inside dimensions so the over all width and height need not to extend beyond you cabinet. You can jack up the bottom with spacers to minimize any upper gap.

Hi is there avfuse box or fuses on the stove?

If its an electric stove the fuse panel should be in the upper back of the stove. Ours was in the top behind the clock. There should be a fuse for each burner and one for the oven.

Stoves 720ef electric double oven not working

According to the circuit diagram on page 31 of the handbook, power for the ovens passes through the clock. The power feed is direct for the actual clock but via a seperate Thermal Cutout for both the top and bottom ovens. I think it is highly unlikely that both Thermal Cutouts have failed at the same time. I would try turning the power off totally to the oven for a while and then turning it back on, set the time and ensure the oven is in manual mode. As the top and bottom ovens have seperate controls after the Programmer and both are not working, it has to be the programmer that is not extending the power through to the rest of the oven.

Know display anel getting EXTREMELY hot

I think you are feeling the heat coming from the oven vent. The fan still runs as it tries to cool down the temp in the compartment housing the electronics.

Bottom oven not working

It is quite possible the control electronics have failed. There are separate relays for the upper and lower ovens. Ours recently failed the upper oven with the same symptoms and it was the electronic control. The other part is the overheat thermal sensor for the oven may be out.

Kenmore, f2

I can help but I need a model number

Kenmore are made by many different manufacturers of their appliances..

F2 error is most likely a oven sensor problem . your over sensor has to low or high Ohms or you Electromic oven control thinks it has to high of an Ohm reading. replace oven sensor and or control
let me know if this helps
