How do I get the code for my Koss dvd player to make it a multi-region dvd player

Some Koss players are locked to only one region/zone so this might not work. Try this.

1. Turn on the player (without a disc inserted)
2. Press MENU
3. Press 1, 6, 7, 1, 9
4. A menu should pop up
5. Press OK
6. Press the button for the desired RC (0=code free)
7. Exit menu

To check the software version and change
region code of your DVD Portable

1. Power ON the DVD player and open the DVD
door
2. Press the “SETUP” button on remote control,
then select the “Preference MENU”
3. Press the remote button in the sequence as
9 -> 6 -> 5 -> 3
4. The LCD display showed the existing region
code. Press (navigation up) or
(navigation down) repeatedly to select the
number from 0 to 6.
5. Refer below table for your region code setting
Region
1=USA
2=Europe
3=Asia Pacific
4=Australia, New Zealand
5=Russia, India
6=China

Select “0” setting = Region Free (confidential)

• Switch on and open the tray.
• Press [SETUP] on the remote control. Setup menu will appear.
• Highlight "PREFERENCES" and press [ENTER]
• Press [2][5][2][3][1][5][LEFT][DOWN]
• "Region Code: 2" will be displayed on the screen
• Press [0] to set the player to region free (or [1-6] to set region manually)

2. Power on your DVD player
3. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray
4. Press the 1 button on your remote control
5. Press the 0 button on your remote control
6. Press the 3 button on your remote control
7. Press the 0 button on your remote control
8. Press the 0 button on your remote control for multi-region playback
9. The onscreen display will indicate the currently selected region
10. Power off your DVD player
11. Power on your DVD player

open lid.
press STOP on remote.
enter code 2379 on remote.
region code list will appear on screen, using the UP/DOWN buttons on remote select required region (9 is multi-region).
press OK on remote.
close lid.
press STANDBY on player

OR

1. Power ON
2. Open Tray
3. on the remote use the code.

To convert this player to Multi-Region if the above does not work
1. Press the 7 button on your remote control
2. Press the 6 button on your remote control
3. Press the Select button on your remote control
4. Highlight the Region option and press 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback
5. By visiting the next page of this hidden menu, you may be able to disabled Macrovision by setting an option to 0, although this particular setting does not survive power off
6. Press the Setup button on your remote control

There's a tricky process to follow with the remote control to set the region code. It is: -Open the player. -Remove any DVD. -Close the player. -Power off the player. -Wait for 30+ seconds -Power on the player. -Press Menu,1,9 on the remote [this frequently takes a few tries]. -When the region screen appears, press enter to change region (Every time you press enter, the region code on the screen will increment by 1). -When the proper region code is displayed, press Return. -Open the player. -Insert DVD. -Close the player. -(Maybe just my player) If the player doesn't start the DVD, repeat Open/Close until the DVD starts. If it still doesn't start, power off for 10 minutes. Good Luck!
