The f-- message can mean several different things.

The easiest to rectify is the case where a Nikkor AF lens is not completely clicked into position. In that case, make sure to turn the lens firmly into place.

Further, depending on the camera mode, if the lens is an AF-D style lens, the aperture must be set to the smallest aperture (that is, the highest aperture number, usually 22 or 16).

If the lens is a non-chipped lens (T-mount, AI-S, etc.), you will only be able to use it in "A" (aperture-priority) or "M" (manual) modes. The "f--" message shows up for other modes.

My S1 displays fee and I can't use it. What does it mean and how do I fix it.

You're using a lens with an aperture ring on it, aren't you?

Turn the aperture ring on the lens to its smallest setting (largest f/number) and lock it in place if it has a lock. You can control the aperture from the camera body the same way as on a lens without an aperture ring.

I am getting a FEE error on a Fuji FinePix S1 Pro Digital, the 300mm lens seems to be connected correctly. please help thank you.

I don't know if you have a manual fir this camera so I'm giving you a "Google" search link for a manual in PDF format. It the fourth one down.

http://www.google.ca/#hl=en&source=hp&biw=1303&bih=818&q=Fuji+S1+Pro+PDF+manual&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&fp=a5556ef3492e88b9

Okay, I've had several Fuji Pro cameras including the S5 Pro and these cameras had dual memory card slots it's listed in section 6 page 24 of this PDF manual

Okay what can happen and happened to me several times (didn't learn the first time) was that I had the camera set on the Compact Flash card and filled it up but the camera needs to be manual set for the next card it's not automatic. So I'm going to assume that the media card you are trying to write the new picture files to is full.

You can download the pictures and then format the car (in the camera) then continue or switch to the other card in the card slot. This camera used a Smart Media and a Compact Flash Card.

Cheers

Your Finepix S1 has wear on the drive sequence, that produces the error.
Fails to load the shutter.
You must obtain these parts attached except that the belt and motoradgubitosi_4.gif.

Fuji FinePix S1 Pro Digital.

I strongly recommend you use a memory card reader to solve this problem.

The cause is likely a bad USB cable, USB port on the Camera, or low battery.

A USB memory card reader will work around any of those causes.

Hello guys fuji film s1 pro problem

From the Fuji S1 Manual:

F-- (Flashing) or (lit in M Mode)

Cause:
The lens mounted is not a Nikkor lens with built-in CPU or no lens is mounted on the camera.

Solution:
Use a Nikkor lens with built-in CPU (excluding IX Nikkor lenes). (Note that pictures can still be taken in M mode.)

Fuji Finepix S1 Pro fE E blinking when turned on?

Might Help:
Notes on G-type Nikkor and other CPU Nikkor lens
The G-type Nikkor lens has no aperture ring; aperture should be selected from camera body. Unlike other CPU Nikkor lenses, aperture does not need to be set to minimum (largest f-number). CPU Nikkor lenses other than G-type Nikkor lens have an aperture ring. Set the lens aperture to its minimum and lock. When the lens is not set to its minimum aperture setting and the power switch is turned on, "fEE" blinks in the control panel and viewfinder and the shutter cannot be released.

HELP! need to know why my Fuji FinePix S1 pro flashed "f EE" on the LCD screen?

Thia error is caused by the use of a non-AI lens, or that the F-stop is not set to the lowest setting.

If the lens can support light metering on this camera, then the solution is to set the F-stop on the lens to the smallest number (ie, 2.8, or 3 or whatever the smallest number is.)
