Hi,

There is no free download available for model 6000 but you ca get a free download for model 6500 from the below link.Atleast you ca get some idea if you view the manual for 6500 as it is the same 6000 series.

http://homeappliance.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/brother/pc_6500.html

If you need the exact manual for model 6000 then you will have to buy it for $9 from the below link:

When step on the pedal of my Viking 6000 SL sewing machine, the engine is running but the needle is not going up and down. How do I fix it.

Normally tight the knob in the centre of the hand wheel. It is the freewheel mechanism for winding bobbins.

Unfortunately, no free manuals.

Should my machine have a bobbin case or do I just drop the bobbin straight in?

the bobbin is the bit that you put the thread on
it then drops /fits in the bobbin case
when you put the bobbin in the case you have to pull the thread around until you find a slot and pull the thread around under a flat spring
then you drop the lot into a bobbin case carrier
go google and type in-- user manual for( make and model) sewing machine and that will give you a site with a pdf version down load on how to basically set up the machine to sew
Other than that take it to a service center for any type of sewing machine and they will probably have any missing parts or be able to get the parts if required

How do you get the auto threading and wind in place to work on Singer XL6000 sewing machine

There are several FB and Yahoo groups dedicated to the Quantum XL-1000, XL-5000 and XL-6000 who can help you. It may be that your problem with the autothreading is the autothreader is out of adjustment, but I'm at a loss as to the bobbin winder problem.

I need a manual for a Japanese Made Electra Royal XL 6000 sewing machine = Model #11065.

I have the complete manual that came with this very same machine - Electra Royal XL 6000. I can email if you would like. Do you know where I can find bobbins for it? The brand seems extinct. Thanks.

I was given a Bernette 50 machine with no owner's manual. Can you just tell me what type of bobbin it uses? Thanks!!

The Bernette 50 is by Bernina. There are several online sources of the bobbins. Try http://www.gonesewing.com/servlet/Detail?no=144 . Otherwise look for the SA156 bobbin for Brother machines (http://www.sewinginusa.com/products.asp?id=2275 ) .

You can buy a manual for the machine here: http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Manuals/Bernina_Manuals/50_60_70_75_Instruction_Manual.htm .

I hope this helps.

I took apart my bobbin case, plate andbobbin holder. I can

I had the same problem and can't find my Owner's Manual. I found the answer on-line. Hopefully, you have the same type of bobbin casing. To get the answer, go to www.startsewing.co.uk and choose "How to thread a Sewing Machine". If you have the same type of bobbin casing, you should be able to figure out the proper placement of the parts by looking at the one in the demonstration. I am thrilled (!) and hope this works for you, too.

I have a pc-8500 and the top thread breaks constantly. I have taken the side off...and see no thread tangled inside...as well as haven taken off the bobbin plate to make sure there is no thread tangled...

OK. I was just being kind of an idiot. I replaced the bobbin spool with one that came with it and it's working fine now. Apparently this machine is very picky about the type of bobbin you use.

What class bobbin?

The type of bobbin is, in fact, a Brother SA156. This is the only type of bobbin that will fit it, and there is no cross-reference. The Class 66 and Class 15 that you probably found at the fabric store will not be compatible.

The correct bobbins are readily available at any authorized Brother dealer, or online. They are actually a very common bobbin. I would recommend doing a web search for the nearest brother dealer to your location.
