Frigidaire digital double door fridge freezer.

Question edited for clarity and correct spelling of maker.

All questions on Fixya need full 'make model (what it is)' please.

The start setting is always half way and with the aid of a thermometer you adjust either way to get 4'C for the fridge and -18'C for the freezer. A digital display fridge and freezer normally gives the temperature in numbers, either Centigrade or Fahrenheit.

But if the fridge isn't cooling, there is something wrong with it. When was the last time the condenser fins were vacuumed out?

Or you have a refrigerant gas leak and need a top up.

My refridgerator freezes the milk, How do i stop it from doing that? The temperature setting is in the normal range and the condensor coil is clean.

There are two setting on a fridge. One that sets the temp of the freezer and one that adjusts the temp of the fridge part. The fridge setting just adjusts the opening between the freezer and the fridge. So the fridge gets it's cool by stealing a little from the freezer. i'd get a fridge thermometer and set it it the fridge and see what the temp really is. The knobs in the fridge may not be accurate. Set the fridge and then move the thermometer over to the freezer and set that. Move back and forth until you get what you want. Usually the lower part of the fridge is a little colder then the top. However if you use the fridge a lot then every time you open the door the cold falls out and the fan will come on and start taking cold from the freezer. Another very cold spot is next to the vent where the cold air comes out from the freezer. Usually up top near the ice maker.

Freezer works great, but fridg. will not get below 50

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.

Fridge freezer over heating and is not cooling fridge section

It is normal for the middle strip to be hot. Did you check the temp setting in the fridge section?
Also - you might check for blockage in the bottom. Excessive dirt/dog hair can block the air flow.
Good luck

Fridge and Freezer losing cooling

we bought a f&p fridge freezer and in summer noticed it wasn't cooling and the freezer wasn't freezing, when the service guy came out he noticed our ducted air con was blowing onto the fridge, once we had redirected the air con outlet the fridge started working as normal, apparently f&p's work on air being convected around the cabinet of the fridge and air blowing on the fridge can effect the temperature of the convected air. hope this helps you or someone
