Question about Maytag Neptune FAV6800AW Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Stackable Neptune Front Loader Washer Leak.

I have a stackable Neptune washer/dryer. It is leaking from the bottom. I can't figure out where or why. The drain hose and the hoses in the back are ok. I am thinking it may be some gasket or seal around the tub of the washer. Anyone have any advice?

Check that the door seals correctly on the rubber boot, check the boot for holes or rips, check the drain hose, tub to pump hose and pump.

I have lse7806ace (stackable) and problem with water leak. I live in condo and this washer/dryer stackable in small closet. I can't reach locking tabs. This stackable is also on the pan (bottom). 'BTW,...

Remove the 2 screws which hold the lower front washer panel , lift out from the bottom and remove the panel. You can now run the machine and use a flashlight to see where the leak maybe. Usually the top tub seal under the plastic tub cover will leak. The other possibility is the main tub bearing and seal on the main tub where the transmission goes up through tub. Hope this helps.

Stackable washer (bottom), top load leaking water??

Easy fix most likely the water pump is leaking or the hose from tub to pomp. Remove the front cover
themobilian_1406.jpg
A couple of screws at the base come out and you can remove the front.
Run is a while with the cover off to see where the leak originates but
keep the pets and children away from the machine while the cover is off.
Tip it back to remove the belts.

Stackable maytag washer and dryer

Hello, on most Maytag units you can take the the front panel off by removing 2 phillips screws , 1 on each side of the front panel. With the panel off you can run the machine and see where the water is coming from. Good luck

Neptune stackable washer...

I went to Sears today and asked!  They said use high efficiency detergent (marked HE on the label) and put it directly in the washer with the clothes.  Mystery solved!

Maytag front lead stackable

That is correct. Take the screws out of the console up top. look for a burn mark on your circuit board. If it's on R11, replaced your door lock wax motor as well at the board.
