How do I cook a frozen 2 lb meat lasagna in my Jetstream oven?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask,but how long should I cook a frozen 2 lb meat lasagna in an American Harvest Jetstream convection oven, and what temperature and fan setting should I use? There is nothing in the cookbook I got with the oven. The instructions on the product call for 50-55 minutes at 400 F or about 25 minutes in the microwave at medium high. Thanks!

Well,an update.I put the lasagna in my Jetstream last night. The product comes with a cooking film over the disposible dish holding the lasagna. The fan ripped the cooking film off,and the top of the lasagna was almost burnt after 45 minutes at 400 F and low fan speed, but it still tasted good!

I would start with a slow 250 oven for about 45 minutes. If the lasagna is thawed by then kick the oven up to 350 for another 30 to 45 minutes. Test temperature with a thermometer or knife blade to see if done.

I have a boxed stouffers lasagna how long do I cook it for in my nu wave oven

Most food cooking directions are based upon a 1100 watt microwave oven output..
Since you didnt specify, I am guessing you have a 700 watt oven
You can roughly adapt cooking directions by multiplying times 1.6.
So if directions say 6 1/2 minutes at 1100w, cook for 10 minutes 24 seconds, or 10.4.minutes [roughly]
Here is a list of other oven powers
600. 1.8 times
700 1.6 times
800 1.4 times
900 1.2 times
1000 1.1 times

Of course, this is only a rough scale, microwave cooking times always vary from machine to machine. Always pay close attention when cooking.

Iā€™d like to cook a pan of lasagna. Directions for regular oven is 400 for 1 hour 15 mon. Do I use the same directions?

Hello, Peggy -

To cook lasagna in a microwave oven, you will need to follow a recipe which is just for microwave cooking.

You can find some recipes for lasagna cooked in a microwave oven here:
https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/microwave-lasagna
here:

and here:

You can find more recipes for lasagna cooked in a microwave by using your favorite search engine (Google, Bing, Yahoo Search, etc) by using the following search phrase:
lasagna microwave

Note: If you cook a traditional lasagna recipe in the microwave for 1 hr. 15 min. (even at 1/2 power), you will have a baked brick of charred lasagna.

Best wishes.

How do I heat frozen meat pies in my Sharp convection grill microwave appliance?

Hello, Derek -

Is the Sharp Convection Grill Microwave either model R-820JS or R-820BC? If so . . .

The cooking directions begin on Page 24 of the Operation Manual.

If you do not have the manual, you can find it as a PDF document (Adobe Reader software needed - free) to download for free here:
http://kitchen.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/sharp/r820js_r820bc_1.html

The cooking instructions start on Image 27 of the PDF document and run through Image 30 (Page 26.)

I would choose the convection cooking temperature for either Frozen Convenience Foods or Pies, Frozen Prepared.

Best wishes.

Can you put frozen beef ribs in oven and how long do you cook them?

An internet search will produce lots of information. Try this link

I personally wouldn't cook meat from frozen due to unpredictability of cooking times though extended defrost times at ambient can be undesirable due to promoting bacteria growth and the necessity of high temperature cooking to make it safe.
Defrosting in the refrigerator works well and is good food safety even though it takes a long time.

How do I defrost a package of frozen hamburger meat (2.25 lbs)on the Sharp Carousel R405JFK microwave ? The instructions on the front of the microwave are sort of confusing...

try defrost = 2.3 enter/start I use my sharp (not a R405) all the time to defrost meat and that's how mine works , I know its a bit confusing as defrost goes by weight not time like the cook mode does

How long can I defrost stake for in the microwave

My personal opinion is to avoid putting any meat in a microwave if at all possible. However, if you must, put a cup {at least 8 oz} of cold water in with the frozen package of meat (if you can set it on top without spilling it, that is the best way). Run the microwave on high for 1 minute per pound. Check after every minute. Eventually, the edges of the meat will start to cook. This is unavoidable.
Good luck....

My microwave GE model # JVM1440WH04 spacemaker has no heat coming out of it. My husband heated microwave lasagna in it last, everything works except for the heat, any solutions?

Push the microwave door tightly closed. The computer will not start cooking until the door is closed for safety reasons. Some models of microwave will give a warning on the screen if the door is open.
2

Ensure you have programmed a heat setting, entered a cooking time and pressed the "Start" button on the microwave's keypad. Check that the microwave is not set to "Defrost" mode.
3

Unplug the microwave and wait for one minute. This measure will reset the microwave's internal computer if it has frozen or scrambled. Plug the microwave back in and try again.
4

Ensure the keypad lock mode is inactive. Most microwave ovens have a lockout feature that prevents children from starting the microwave while unsupervised. Lockout mode is usually deactivated by holding down the button that bears a padlock symbol

Using the Auto Defrost feature on my microwave oven

How do I use the Auto Defrost feature on my microwave oven?
To use the Auto Defrost feature on your microwave oven, please do the following:
  1. Unwrap food, place on the turntable, and close the door.
  2. Touch Defrost.
  3. Select food by entering 1 for Meat, 2 for Poultry or 3 for Fish, or touch Defrost repeatedly to scroll through the food selections.
  4. Enter the weight in pounds:

Meats and Poultry can be set from 0.2 to 6.6 lb (90 g to 3 kg).
Fish can be set from 0.2 to 4.4 lb (90 g to 2 kg).

Doneness may be adjusted at this time by touching Cook Time.
  5. Touch Start. The display will count down the defrost time. When the cycle ends, "End" will appear in the display, and the end-of-cycle tones will sound, followed by reminder tones.
  6. Touch Cancel Off or open the door to clear the display and/or stop reminder tones.
The Defrost system has 3 categories: Meat, Poultry and Fish. It should not be used for food left outside the freezer more than 20 minutes and frozen ready-made food. Use the following chart as a guide.

HOW DO I ROAST A CHICKEN IN A AC925CHS

Search the internet for “roast chicken recipe for microwave”
Here is one just in case you don’t find one:
Microwave Roast Chicken
3 lbs. chicken
1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. paprika

Instructions
Melt butter in a custard cup in microwave. Mix paprika into melted butter. Wash chicken (reserve giblets, these are best cooked conventionally). Sprinkle inside of chicken with salt. Cover ends of legs, tail, and wings with small pieces of saran wrap or wax paper. Place trivet on inverted saucer or small casserole lid in 12 x 7 inch baking dish. Place chicken breast side down on saucers. Brush with butter. Cover with waxed paper. Cook 12 minutes. Remove wax paper or saran warp from legs, tail, and wings. Turn chicken breast side up and brush with butter. Cover with wax paper and cook 12 minutes more or until meat thermometer registers 180 degrees (temperature will increase to 195 degrees during standing).

DO NOT USE MEAT THERMOMETER IN OVEN WHEN COOKING!! Remove chicken from oven; cover with aluminum foil and let stand 15 to 20 minutes before carving. Note: For other weights of chicken, allow 8 minutes cooking time per pound.
