Mic Option? I don't see a mic option in the menu..how exactly do you get to that?

Many people mistakenly think that webcam can be used for audio as well as video transmission.

1. Webcams don't usually come with microphones , therefore you would require a separate microphone for your voice recordings and voice chats.
2. I would suggest you get a headset which would have the microphone option as well , or you can get a hand held mic.
3. Once you get a new mic, you need to connect it to your computer by plugging in the mic in the appropriate slot , and by default the mic should work.
4. If it does not work , you just need to change the microphone settings using the volume control option or audio settings via control panel.

No, but you do need one thing. You have two options. Option one is a Mixer with USB output or USB Interface. Option two is to buy a USB Audio Interface. Personally, I'd go with option one because you can control every aspect of the mic and the music or instrument. The USB Interface does need a driver but it is included. The R21S Mic is an XLR Dynamic Mic.

I think this camera has manual audio control.
Use the menu system and set the audio to manual then turn down the audio completely.
Another option is to place a microphone jack into the external mic socket without a mic attached. This will mute the onboard mic.

go to volume control option and select mic advace option and choose microphone boost option and try.

1. click on the start button on the windows screen
2. program, then accessories, then Entertainment, then volume controller
3. select option,then properties
4. select mic check box to activate your mix option in the volume controller then ok
5. you can increase your mike volume and you can put it on mute option etc..

You should update your sound driver. Update of Sound Card Driver.

• Go to the control panel
• Click on the System Icon
• Click on the Hardware Tab
• Click on the Device Manager then

• Right click on sound driver from the list.

Hi There, You probably didn't have the mic option in the menu turned on. Go into menu, find the audio settings and set mic to on.

check the audio properties of your computer, 2x click the speaker icon at your system tray and make sure the mic option is not muted out, or in some cases, the mic option should be selected as a recording device. the mic option of a pc are usually muted out by default

Just had the same problem occur on a laptop with same mic. Did the exact same thing yours did, I turned the mic boost on and ran the hardware test three or four times and it finally picked it up. Hope this helps.
