Start up pressing F8 and select safe mode with command prompt. In the dos window type chkdsk C: /p /r If you have more than one drive or your drive is not C: then enter the drive letter required. It may ask to restart. Let it run until it finishes. This could take several hours depending on drive size or file system errors.

When you log in screen will appear that time just press CTRL+ALT+DEL three times login page will change put there administrator and press enter if any password you put during installation of xp put that password do log in and then go to user accounts which is in control panel from there change the user rights

Here we go just press this keys ctrl+Alt+Del it will bring you a new logging dialogue box. type the user name as administrator and leave the password blank.

How do i put a password on my D-Link DIR 600 i want to use it private. pls help me.. tanx

Hello marticarpio
As far as a password i'm going to have to assume you mean to log into the router, past that security goes by pass phrase.
to log into your router open up a web browser(Internet explorer) type 192.168.0.1 At the log on screen type Username: admin Password:(default is blank) if a password other then the default is on the router, and you do not have it. use a paper clip to press in the reset button on the back of the router for 15 seconds. repeat the log in instructions using the default password. Immediately change the default password.
If you wanted to have a secure wireless network, click the wireless settings section. Name your router, and select a type of security. Depending on the type of security you choose follow the onscreen directions(wps may be easier)

I cannot log in. i have reset router but using admin as password and user blank comes back with same blank log in screen as if nothing was filled in. also, i reset router by placing a pin in reset slot. ...

Correct, put a pin in the reset and hold it for 30 seconds. User name is blank, and password is admin.

if that does not work try user name "admin" password "admin"

Please.. tell me how to remove password toshiba portege R100 i forget

I'm assuming that this laptop is using Windows, and that the password is to an account on Windows.
At the login screen, press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice, and another login screen asking for a username and password should appear. In this box, put "Administrator" for the password, and either insert absolutely nothing, or "Administrator" for the password. I don't remember which works correctly, but one of the two will.

I try loging on to my windows but the log on screen dont allow me enough space to put in the letters to my password how can this be fixed

If you Windows is XP, try this, when you reach the logon screen, move the mouse cursor on the blank screen and click once, now press Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice on the keyboard, type in your username and try with the password. If still it doesn't allow, then type in "Administrator" on the username box and press enter, leaving the password blank. Most systems has no admin password, so if it's same with your's you'll be able to do that and you'll be allowed to login a the administrator. Once you are logged in, go to control panel and change the password of your user with a shorter one. You can now log-off from the administrator's account and login to your account with the newly created password.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Th these PC Desktop problems? Averatec D1002UHCE-1 All-In-One Intel Desktop PC - Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 2.4GHz, 2GB, 320GB, DVDRW Averatec D1002UHCE-1... I have an all in Solve I have an all in one...

Try to work through the steps in this article. or this article.
If that doesn't help, here's a workaround that seems to help in some cases:
"Yea I have the blank screen too for my averatec 3200, but there's an easy work around
for some reason it default goes to the monitor port instead of the screen
all you do is press function screen( Fn F5) twice and you can see again. Whenever you see the blank screen pop up just change."
\
You might also google 'blank screen at logon' and check for other options, such as here.
If you get windows up, try this:
Run chkdsk c: /f or /r according to these instrucitons & these. (you can also run this from the recovery console or cd).
This could be the result of a driver conflict or issue. Run windows update and check for graphics updates, or follow these instructions to update your graphics/video drivers.
There's also the possibility that the problem is malware related, in which case try to follow these instructions.
