This is a Jazzy powerchair.

I have a jazzy power chair. It is making a noise that is hard to tell you about but I will try. The sound is like a soft idle. I also want to know if it would hurt to charge my chair when we have a thunderstorm? I plug it in the wall and charge it for overnight. I use it as well as a walker. I can get around better with this power chair. I don't go outside with it so it is only used indoors.

What model Jazzy is it? A soft idle??? Like a purr or is it a grrr? Purr is okay, gurr, bad.
During a thunderstorm, any and all electronic equipment should be either unplugged, or put onto a power strip that has a replacement gurantee for any damage as a result of a storm, etc.

Yes, you can take a shot through the charger and it can whach out your controller, and cost about 1,200 bucks to fix. If you are lucky, it'll trip the circuit breaker on the chair.

The small click noise is the parking brake releasing to allow you to drive. the flashing is called a flash code that will give you an idea of what is wrong. count the amount of lights flashing this would indicate the problem. Jazzy 600 stops all of a sudden while driving, chair icon and wrench icon on romote appears

Likely 2, 3, 4 or 5 bar flash code. If motors are made by a company like "ELE...." then motor wiring is likely bad inside wire insulation where wires go into motor cap. Rebuild motors and try again. This is a common problem with these motors.

Jazzy select is swaying side to side when going forward like it has too much play in the joystick

Check your tire inflation and treads to make sure they can grip the floor/ground without slipping. Make sure that any keystock/keylock needed is installed on the axle, sometimes they slip out. Are your batteries fully charged and in good condition? Are you over the weight limit for the power chair?
Is there any noise or vibration coming from the power chair as you operate it? A grinding sound may indicate bad bearings in the caster wheels and cause problems in steering. A chirping sound may indicate a bad motor, they may be losing power and are not able to move the power chair evenly.
If your insurance purchased the power chair for you, they may also cover the repairs; contact them for information.
Good luck!

1 red and 3 amber lights flashing after stopping and goes around in circle on a jazzy 1121 powerchair

The number of lights that are blinking indicate what the problem is. Visit this site to locate the type on controller on your power chair and you will be able to see that the blinking lights mean:

Try to reset your manual brake release as this is a common problem.
The powerchair going in circles may indicate a motor is bad and needs to be replaced.
If you continue to have a problem, contact your manufacturer or dealer for service. If your insurance purchased they power chair for you, they may also cover the cost of repairs.

Just bought 2nd hand jazzy select 6 ultra v v slow !!

The unit can be programmed to run faster. Stop in to the local powerchair dealer in your area. Very quick and inexpensive fix. I would charge you only for my time. About 10minutes max.
