To download the user manual for Aspire V5-121, you can follow the steps below:
1. Go to http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers
2. Type Aspire V5-121 in the box below "Search by Product Model" and click "Search".
3. Select your operating system appropriately from the drop-down menu besides "Operating System".
4. Click on "Documents" tab and download the user manual.

Acer R7 User guide
Everything in a User Guide can be found in the user manual. Just calling out R7 does not define your machine well enough. I googled R7 and got the following webpage.

Not exact answer, but I hope a useful tip. You can google and find almost any user manual for any PC online. Just allow the PDF to download, go to index, and look up keyboard back-light. I cannot tell you how many problems I've solved just by downloading a FREE user manual for my PC from the maker's web site. Good luck.
