I forgot password on my nextbook 8 quadcore how do i reset my tablet?

Something is not right here because a factory hard reset wipes the password.

To view your password you need to open up a command prompt (cmd.exe)

Than type in netsh wlan show profile and press enter. This command will show all of the access point you have connected to in the past

Now type in netsh wlan show profile "your access point SSID without the quote" key=clear and press Enter

example if my SSID is ABCD than I would type it like this

netsh wlan show profile ABCD key=clear

It will show you the password of your access point.

Hold down the power and volume up (or down). This will boot into recovery mode. Vol up or down will choose items, power will select.

Replace volume buttons! You need these to factory reset! Without it you cannot reset.

Hope you have backed up the data?. If so do a factory reset with a new pass word. then reload the data,

this is an easy fix, 1. with the tablet off, press the power and vol up buttons together until unit comes on.2. using the volume buttons select wipe data/factory reset and use power button to comfire. once tablet restarts it will be just like new out the box. hope this helps
