Hello mm,
Ok, we are going into "cautious" territory as I will have to help you into "service mode" which is inherently dangerous for the untrained. But I will guide you to where you need to be,and what you need to do. You merely need to stay with me and not stray. I promise I will send you directly to the right spot, and as long as you don't let your fingers do the walking around all will be well. And as a reassurance, all functions in service mode require an "OK" so you can't accidentally press the wrong button. All smiles......here we go.Locate the "ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS " button which is to the right of the display. In order to get into service mode you will need to use this button as you execute a 3 step process that needs to be rather fluid and graceful. Here we go. Press "additional functions" RELEASE,now the numbes 2&8 simaltaneously and RELEASE, Now press "addiotonal functions " again. This may take a try or 2 to be successful but when you succeed you will see a new screen. Press "COPIER". Another new screen. Notice the tabs across the top of the screen. Press "FUNCTION" Another new screen, and menu. Select "CLEAR". Now you have the option to clear alot of stuff. Don't clear alot of stuff. LOL . Select PWD-CLR. Once selected press "OK" in the lower right corner. TADA!!!!!!! You did it !!!!!!! Just for grins power off the machine. I normally would not suggest this method of power off but just unplug the device. If you want to it properly, then hit reset until you get back to the main screen. The hold down the main power button for 3 secs and it will walk you tru the shut own sequence.The last request the machine will ask is for you to turn off the main power, located on the right hand side of the copier, about halfway down at the very rear.
