No, !!! I forgot my password on my LG blue ray player so want to know how to reset it

With no disc in the player press and hold the stop button on the front of your Blu-ray player for about 8 seconds or until the front display reads 'SETUP'. 'Resetting all settings to default values...' is displayed on your TV screen as the Blu-ray player powers off and resets.

Try a factory reset.

To reset forgotten password:
a) Display set up menu (see Displaying Set Up Menu)
b) Select lock system icon in left panel
c) Select Lock System from middle panel
d) Enter [210499]
e) Select displayed YES option
f) Press OK [ ]. Password has now been cleared.

Are you talking about the wireless security password that allows you to establish a wireless connection? Or, are you talking about the CIFS login and password that allows you to see shared folders on your computer.

If you can't establish a wireless connection, try changing the type of security you currently have set up on your router. For example, if you are using WPA, try switching to WEP and see if you can then connect the BD570 to the router. As a last option, you could try turning off all security (for a brief time, of course) and see if the BD570 will connect to your router.

If you are having the dreaded CIFS login and password problem (and you are using a Win7 computer), uninstall Windows Live Login-Assistant and Windows Live Essential 2011. Both programs interfere with the ability to use CIFS file sharing on the BD570.

Some times the DVD player needs to be set to output digital audio through HDMI. If that is set, then do the same with the menu options on the TV/LCD/Plasma/Screen that you are using.

Try to reset it by shutting computer down then press power on button hold down F2 which should put computer in bios mode (blue green looking screen) select security tab and select password option and follow directions to enable or disable passwords the intructions on how to change settings are normally at the bottom of the computer screen.
