Wont start at all

you must have 2 problem: a) the switch inside are dirty or bad adjustment b) the sensor and dirty, or loose wires . fix it. see the diagram attached.

Open the control panel and you'll find a wiring diagram/tech sheet in there. It will have some troubleshooting tips, may explain the "8.8" in the display. If not, then the control board is probably bad. Here is a link to the board in case you need it.

the wires on the front panel are for ur power,reset[restart],usb,sound jack [headphones/speakers]mic jack.some PCs wont start if wires are removed.

The three wires you should have are
1-Brown-goes to L
2 Thin black to N
3 White to C..
Hotpoint never have incorporated a wiring diagram on any of their british made appliances, so previous comments made do not apply in this case.

try flipping you breaker off and on 2 or 3 times (hard and fast) if this don't work check element, timer , thermostats and safety switch on motor 2 heavy red wires (check wiring diagram for pin numbers of safety switch)....if this switch goes bad the motor will still run but it wont let power go to element

carrier 1.5 tr outdoor unit wiring connection please.

I tried un pluging the machine for few hours and it will work for 3-4 load and then it will lock up again
