You will need to update the hard drive. You have to go to playstations website and find the update for your ps3 dashboard you can put it on a memory stick make sure to save it just how sony suggests. Then you put the memory stick in the ps3 and it will update your hard drive and it should work. Fixxed several with the same problems that way. Hope this helps. If you need help finding the update just let me know.
There could be problems with your LAN input on ps3 ,you should check that with service. Also check settings under ps3 options file, maybe you need to enable(turn on) that port of lan in order to make it work.
You'll need the hard drive in the ps3 mainly so you can save your games.
What needs to happen is to hook up the hard drive in your ps3. Then after you do that, turn it on and then do a quick format on it and your ps3 should be good to go.
tv's are difffrent and the ps3 knows that.
You need to adjust the settings on the ps3 or on the tv.
It still works at your home correct?
If so its just a compatability issue with your ps3 and trying
to get it to work on another tv.. It thinks its still 1080p when its actually 2 miles down the road on a 1080i
Go to your system settins on your ps3 and change them to work on a 1080i
Good luck
And if you have anymore questions or if this dosn't work, please feel free to ask
Well your PS3 Can't connect with your TV to the Samsung, because PS3 Was made HD Blu-Ray. If your TV/Samsung is not supported by High Def. or Blu-Ray, it will not work, you will need a different HDMI Cable, and it should work fine.
Hope this Helped.
