Lexmark E232 Laser Printer Logo

Two lights are lit up on the operator panel of my Lexmark E232 printer: a steady blue ready light and a yellow blinking toner cartridge light. Neither the continue or cancel lights are lit up. This combination of lights does not appear in the user manual. Resetting the lights by holding down the cancel button does not solve the problem. Any suggestions?

Sounds like your photocoductor is at lifes end. You can reset it by doing the following
1. Turn the printer off.
2. open the front cover
3. hold down the cancel X button while turning on the power and keep holding down until all lights stop flashing. Then let go of the x button and all lights should start to flash, close the front cover...and it should reset. You may have to turn the printer off and then back on once to be sure it is reset.

Hi There Lexmark E232. Cartridge more than half full, but top blue Led is on, and yellow (second from top)is flashing! Not printing. Can you assist please?

Do a test print directly from the printer, just press the blue lit button.

Look for the Toner AND Photoconductor bar graphs.

The Photoconductor may well be at the end of its life.

TONER LIGHT STAYS ON WITH NEW TONER CARTRIDGE

Hi,

If the main problem is just the toner light on then what you could do after installing the new toner is resetting the printer. You could do that by powering the printer off, open the front cover (as if you were to replace the toner) with the front cover open and the printer off push and hold the two buttons on the printer and turn the printer on while holding down the buttons then once the bottom light stays on solid, release the two buttons and that should reset the printer.
Now if the toner light is blinking that means that you have reached the 30,000 page mark and the Photoconductor needs to be replaced. If that is not the case you can follow this link to a procedure where it will explain how to reset the Photoconductor. http://bit.ly/91SWS3

Printer not printing

If "ready" and "toner low" lights are both on, your problem is probably photoconductor. You must reset your printer. Turn on the printer, open front door and press "cancel" button until all lights cycle on the operator panel, than release it and close front door.

Blinking lights

I believe that you are talking about the photoconductor kit this needs replacing when it has reached end of like if you don't replace it you will get poor print quality and risk damaging the printer as well. Below find the lexmark web site with their quick reference guide.

Printer will not operate.

With this model, it is a Toner cartridge, you need to be more specific in what the error is.
