Pushing in the paperclip should unlock it, but if still jammed, may have to wreck drive by pulling off front of drive drawer thing. Maybe try putty knife to push cd down some of that's holding it from opening.
It sounds like you may have one of the newest MBPs that doesn't have a firewire port. If that is the case, it is still possible to connect firewire peripherals through a Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter cable.
you can at least get the drawer open and take out the disc by
1) detach power
2) straighten a paperclip and push it through the small hole just above the green indicator lamp below the drawer.
